Non-Exclusive Tag for Bell

I would love to have Bell stay in Pittsburgh and be happy with his contract, but not for QB money,

I would be up front with him, "we are going to tag you, but we are also going to give you a shot to shop around. I would let him start shopping right now.

You may be the only person who thinks Barkley’s pass catching is suspect. He has lots of film running WR routes, not just easy RB checkdowns and he has made several over the shoulder catches and others that require adjusting to the ball. He’s way ahead of most college RB as a receiver and it is extrememly rare for a back of his size to show so much as a receiver.

i really hope Barkley doesn’t land in cleveland.

yeah not sure why i was harking on his pass catching my error.... overall solid....still don't want him with a pick that high

Bell is a luxury right now...with his workload, he likely has 3 or 4 years before he is done, but he is going to want 5 or more years and a ton of guaranteed money... im fine with a tag and trade, but if we do that we aren't using a first rounder on a back... 2nd or 3rd round backs have a great track record... if we do trade bell you make a package move to get Bens replacement and give him 3 years to learn behind him... screw finding a rb... they are a dime a dozen...

If nice to see some posters dealing with reality. 2 months ago a thread on trading Bell was taboo on the forum.

Yep like I said if you do trade him (highly unlikely), why spend a high pick on a RB ?

I would immediately target FS/CB/QB-BPA

Peter King claims the Raiders may be interested. I wonder if they might package some interesting picks for him.

Trade them Bell, Dupree, and McCullers for Kalil Mack and their first rounder. Use that first on Roquon Smith.

Raiders would give up Mack?

Gruden loves offense...but I doubt they would trade Mack. However they might offer their first and 3rd round pick for a sign and trade type of deal for Bell.

Couldn’t the Steelers sign him with a future roster bonus like 5 days out. Trade him to whom ever which then takes that roster bonus and turns it into a signing bonus.

Nope, the only options to the Steelers are Free agency (doing nothing), Tagging him, or signing him to a long term contract. He has too many years accrued to be a futures signing.
