Le’Veon Bell don't you worry about his FOCUS.

here is Kirwan on Bell's worth,

http://www.Invalid Link - Check SN ...scusses-market-value-steelers-rb-leveon-bell/

How does the tag jump from $14 mill in 2018 to $25 mill in 2019? And why exactly would anyone ever throw a $25 mill tag on a RB?

should cut ben, pounce, and bell...brown if he doesn't produce more...

tire of the dead weight...if we don't win this year, Tomlin should be hung.

What do the percentage has to do with anything??? Why are you singling out hip hop music? Drugs aren't used in other music only hip hop?? So again he has to stop making music because he got caught smoking weed???

Country=beer
Hip hop=weed
Rock=everything. Coke, weed, beer, whiskey---you name it
Classical jazz=wine
Classical music=wine

Yes every music has their alcohol/drug source. As for Bell.....all he had to say was

"Put some respeck on my name boy"- Le'veon Bell

I believe it goes up something like 20% on the second tag and the 3rd tag is at the highest of all the franchise tag numbers(QB) which should grow to 25M or so by then.

Cheech and Chong had better weed music.

Thanks. At that point I would guess we wouldn't apply a third year tag on him. I see it as an option for the first 2 years. Unlikely we would do it(tagging for 2 years), but an option nevertheless.

I dunno man not my views just threw it here. I never was a cap person. I look at it like all Steelers stuff, but I never focus on it.

My take on it is Bell is just positioning to get what he can get without moving on. And the Steelers will do business as usual and give him fair market value. Whatever that may be.

I live for this stuff...

He has every right to have a hobby and an outlet.
Mendenhall didn't, why should Bell?

As long as he isn't taken out by the bengals...
again.

If Bell gets even close to 15 mill what is Antonio worth?
A question Antonio's agent is no doubt pondering...

Timmons though overpaid has played hard and stayed healthy.
The key here is the "Staying Healthy". It's so much easier to pay a fellow when you don't wonder if he's considering a career in sweat attire modeling.

And finally, from Antdrewjosh... My clothes were a bit wrinkled so I needed some extra irony this morning...

…I listen to it though. And I smoked for a long time. It went hand and hand for me…

followed later by an indignant...

As a fan of hip hop since I was a teenager just cause you listen to it or your an artist or part of the culture in any way doesn't mean you smoke weed and I think it's stupid to say so.
Indeed sir. Where WOULD one get such an idea? Where, I ask? It's preposterous and insulting!

cap

Let's be real here. The only people that I truly hope to have concern with these areas is our front office. Who really cares what us fans think? For instance. You keep going back to Bell and his rap buddy's....thinking maybe he has a higher chance of smoking. The fact is any body he hangs with could be pot smokers. I think you have watched to much MTV in your younger days. Stop believing in what the hip hop industry wants you to believe just so they can sell records.

If there was not such thing as a cap, it would not care as much. But we live in a salary cap world. There is nothing worse than giving a guy 12-15 million a year, only to see him suspended. The money obviously would be spent better elsewhere to win.

This is why fans should care.

Fans should be pissed at Worilds for duping the Steelers to give him tag money then retiring.

Fans should be upset Woodley became fat and lazy then we had to cut him and have millions of dead weight on the cap.

It's management's job to know these guys and assess the physical, and off the field risks before signing them to long term deals.

Seriously wig??? You can't be serious?? It did go hand in hand. Smoke listen to some music. But I've stopped now. Been since six years. But guess what I still listen to hip hip music. Guess what wig I still don't smoke weed. Which is what I'm saying about Bell. Just because makes music and raps doesn't means he smokes and its stupid to say so. Go iron that.

Le’Veon Bell’s Unique Skill Set Commands Top Dollar

Bell3

BY MATTHEW MARCZI JULY 7, 2016 AT 06:20 AM
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is certainly not going to get $15 million per season, as he alluded to recently, admittedly in a rap song, a genre known for its braggadocio. At least he is unlikely to get that from the Steelers, though the manner in which the financial landscape of the running back position has shifted in the past five years suggests that no team would be willing to offer that up.

He has every right to want to be the league’s highest-paid running back to be sure—and $15 million would be the number, considering Adrian Peterson’s deal earns him $14 million a season, signed in a different football climate. And he also has a compelling case to make for himself to be the outlier, because he is unique in his abilities.

To put it simply, Le’Veon Bell is not just a running back, but also a wide receiver, and is one of the few true running backs in the league that is capable of running a full route tree, understands how to sell a route, and is able to line up out wide and beat his man for a touchdown.

It should not be forgotten that during his 2014 All-Pro season, he was second on the Steelers’ roster in both receptions and receiving yards, in a year in which they had five different players amass at least 500 yards through the air. His 83 receptions and 854 receiving yards are team records, and many believe he will be the next back to crack 1000 yards.

His 2015 production as a receiver was marred badly by the fact that of his six games, he only played about one full game total—most of the first game he was active and less than half of his final game in which he was injured—with Ben Roethlisberger, instead receiving ill-advised passes or check downs that were doomed to fall short of a first down.

That is why he averaged just 5.7 yards per reception last year when he showed a year earlier that he could be explosive, averaging 10.3 yards per reception. He still caught 24 passes on just 26 targets—another indication of how many of them were shallow and near the line of scrimmage—but they yielded just 136 yards.

In light of that it might be easy to let slip just how accomplished Bell is as a receiver, a running back that the Steelers are more than comfortable splitting out wide to provide a mismatch. With a healthy Bell and a healthy Roethlisberger working together, there’s not a linebacker or safety in the league that can consistently line up against the pair in coverage and come up without a mouthful of dirt and a grasp full of air.

Of course, that will only be a marginal factor in the equation when it comes time to talk contract, and no doubt he has other marks against him—his dubious decision-making nearly two years ago, a pair of knee injuries. But Bell’s talent should command about the maximum that the current running back market can command, even though it will fall inevitably short of Peterson’s now outdated deal.

Umm. And you caring has what effect on our FO giving Bell $15 mill a yr? ZERO. So I personally hope our FO makes the correct decision with Bell.

Yep. Worilds duped the Steelers. LOL

That was a case of bad front office management. Not having an available option. Worilds was who he was. He didn't make the Steelers tag him. I doubt blame Worilds one bit.

antdrew, I merely pointed out the irony of your two statements. Don't be angry.

Whether or not Bell can refrain from using pot is something only he knows. Currently he's been suspended for a couple games because he was driving while under the influence. That's a mistake but certainly many of us live in glass houses so there's no reason to crucify a guy for making a mistake.

What irony? I've listened to hip hop since I was a kid. Early Run DMC days. So that's around 85 making me 11. I didn't start smoking weed until I was 18 and it had nothing to do with hip hop. But once I started smoking I did enjoy listening to MUSIC while high. So it became hand in hand for me. That's not the case for EVERYONE who smokes or EVERYONE who listens to hip hop music. So for someone to say Bell must stop making music or even listening to Hip hop cause he smoked before is a dumbass and I'm not talking about you.

FO: Jason, we are going to overpay you by several million dollars for one year.
JW: If I weren't a Jehovah's witness, I'd say something like "**** you, I don't want your money, give me $1m and I am good." Since I am a Jehovah's Witness, I will say "Thanks!"
