Landry Jones to Start on Sunday

Who gives a **** about Sunday
They are supposed to keep this big secret about the Game so the Browns dont go back and look at last years film of Landry Jones throwing the game winning TD to Cobi ****** Hamilton. **** off Massholes. You are gonna get yours.

Not really giving up on the 1 seed, but a win against the Browns only matters if the Jets beat the Pats***** in Foxboro, which won't happen.

*'s needed the refs to cheat for them to win the last game. I'd keep the starters in until it is known that the *'s are blowing out the Jets.

My thoughts too, keep one foot on the gas and the other on the throat and by 3rd quarter have big enough lead you start subbing out starters. Playing scared has never been the way and I hope ones sitting are sprayed with a healthy dose of WD40 to keep the rust from building between now and three weeks.

Salute the nation

Alberto Riverrun disapproves of this message.

Oh, this just in, incomplete Jets, TD Patsies*** !!!

I'd hate to lose and rain on the Browns parade.

Steelers need to win one for Joe

Josh Gordon says Browns’ decision to cut Joe Haden was “confusing”

Josh Gordon wasn’t on the Browns’ roster when former head of football operations Sashi Brown decided to cut cornerback Joe Haden. But he, like the rest of the team’s coaches and players, still doesn’t understand the decision.

“I was definitely confused,” Gordon said Thursday, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “I think most of us were on that decision. It just didn’t make much sense at the time, but like most of those decisions that go on up top, they call the shots and whatever they see fit to do or fit to make a decision on, it’s kind of how they play it. So you think that there’s some validity to it that I didn’t know about or still don’t know about. I don’t know the reasoning behind it, but it was just confusing more than anything.”

Without Haden, the Browns have allowed 27 touchdown passes and their six interceptions are second-fewest in the NFL. Haden, meanwhile, has returned from a broken fibula and now gets to go to the playoffs for the first time.

I know I'm in the minority on this but I think this is a bad move. Basically giving our starters 3 weeks without playing football and having Ben and others being limited this week already in practice is not good. We WILL BE rusty in our first game and it could cost us. It wasn't long ago when many on here were questioning why Ben was off and if he still had it. Well, prior to the 5 picks against the Jags, he wasn't practicing a full week. He got a day off every week and it showed. Now, he and the rest of the team will have a few practices in a 3 week span between games. I know the rest is nice and we don't want any more injuries but they will not be sharp early in their first playoff game.

I sure hope I am wrong on this. Also notice that Belicheat rarely rests his guys for a complete game at the end of the season and he's done very well with it. I'd play our starters for at least a half.

That and Tomlin is basically saying "I don't give a **** about getting home field advantage. Here you go Cheatriots, you can have it." That bothers me. You never just give up something and don't even try. It's a bad message to send to the players.

I don´t think any Steelers player will just put his feet up for 3 weeks and eat chicken fingers (now that James H. is gone). They will work their ***** off in practice for the playoffs. Sure, game situations are different, but the starters had their share this season and can focus on practice now. I like the decision. When was the last time we got into the playoffs without missing a key player due to injury?!

Why the **** is Marcus Gilbert releasing this info....on a Thursday for that matter?

Some head coaches have a better command over the players to prevent social media links.

I'd rather start Ben, and pull him midway though the game.

It's Laundry time! Yeah.....I tried to get fired up there for a second. Back to reality.....I figure Landry is good for 1 quarter of good quarterback play out of every 4. That should be enough to beat Cleveland right?

Bad quarterback play should be good enough to beat Cleveland.

Makes the most sense even if the chances of j-e-t-s are slim. Think what it would be like for Harrison have to come back to Heinz. Entertaining no?

Hackenberg might get time for the Jets Sunday. Yeah, Pats are going to win by 20+.

If Ben is not starting, I would start Dobbs, with Big Ben as the backup in case we need him to come in at the end for the win.

Ya know.....I think I would too actually. Landry is Landry, we already know that.

Ben can still be listed as the 3rd QB, inactive and can be called in at anytime during the game. I'd like to see him in the 4th if we need him.

Practicing is not the same as playing in a game - not even close. Don't forget we suck at tackling and there is no tackling in practice. And, Ben and Bell are already getting limited practices this week.

I do agree, though, if they do sit Ben, I'd go with Dobbs to give him some playing time. But, he would also have to get practice with the No. 1's during the week.

Yeah since this game is so unimportant I would look at Dobbs too. He should know the system by now and since we have nothing on the line with this game it would be a perfect opportunity to have a look see. Like it was mentioned earlier we already know what Landry Jones looks like. And if Dobbs can't look good against the Browns it's back to the drawing board.

I guess I’m in the minority too, but I wouldn’t bench the starters as long as we still have a chance at the #1 seed. That makes zero sense in my universe. They would be playing until it’s clear the #1 seed has been determined. The only sure win for New England is when they are playing us, in which case it would make sense to bench the starters and save them for the next time we aren’t playing New England.

uh-oh - something is up in Vegas, point spread down to 6.5 pt Steelers win

Mardi Gras of Misery Parade better not get cancelled - hahahahahahaha

I Get what you are saying, but last year they rested the the big guns for week 17. They came out on fire vs. Miami. I know there is an extra week this year, but I think they will OK. Plus, I see them playing JAX. All we are going to hear for a week is how the Jaguars dominated us earlier this season. They will be motivated!

The Good:
The Jets have a slew of players expected to hit free agency after this season, so this could be the last chance for Muhammad Wilkerson, Morris Claiborne, Kony Ealy, Demario Davis and Austin Sefarin-Jenkins to increase their income next year. Could even include Bryce Petty in that.
Bilal Powell is rushing at 4.4 YPC, so that could limit the ineffectiveness of Petty.

The Bad:
Jets are playing in Foxboro. Jets are a much better ...or, rather, higher scoring team ... at home
Jets have scored on the season a solid two more points than the team in Foxboro has allowed all season.
Bryce Petty, expected to start at QB, has thrown for more than 200 yards twice as a starter. In 9 games.
Jets are 23rd in total defense, giving up 356 points on the season.
It's expected to be 15 degrees on Sunday in Foxboro

The Ugly:
Game starts at 1 and should be effectively over by halftime, as the team from Foxboro is outscoring opponents by 9, while the Jets are being outscored on average by 4.
