Got Seat?
Is that an ad for chairs??
i think it means hot seat
i can change it as a moderator, but we know Butler's defense has no balls so maybe the OP is questioning if it's just all ***?

How much is ****** coaching and how much is ****** drafting is hard to say.
Good coaching can get an average group of players to play well together.

So when do other teams get credit for playing well? Yeah, the defense blew chunks yesterday, but the Chiefs played pretty damn good as well.
The Chiefs played real well and are stacked with talent on offense. However, when you have guys running wide open and defenders clueless where they should be, that is poor play. There was one play when Watt was matched up against Watkins on a deep route. The safety help was nowhere to be found. Thankfully the ball was overthrown or it was an easy touchdown.
I believe it was Hilton who said the defense spotted KC 21 free points off of blown coverages. Also a player last week(I forget who) stated that they have a very complex defensive system. I though they dumbed it down so the young guys could start playing a few years ago. Our defense has looked completely lost out there at times.
They switched defensive schemes to a college style defense first made popular at Utah state that was devised to defend the wacky spread offenses of the mountain conference. It’s a phony defense that is a hybrid 3-4 4-3. You pull the nose guard put in a nickel back and move the ends in to tackle positions. The colleges get away with fast outside linebacker/rushends because they are fast enough to get around the corner and run down the qbs. Problem in pros the defensive ends playing as tackles get mauled. The rushends get mauls by the offensive tackles. The outside zone blocking scheme gets fullbacks tight ends out on the multiple dbs opening the running game up. The inside zone blockers double teams the smallish defensive ends playing as tackles and linebackers playing as defensive ends opening gapping holes in the defense. A coach job is to put players in position to make plays... the irony of Tomlin-butlers “hybrid” defense is ithey are putting players in a position to be overwhelmed and to not make plays. Heywood, tuitt, watt, Dupree in a defense like Seattle’s or Jacksonville’s would be a position to make plays.... it falls on Tomlin- butlers that Heywood didn’t make pro bowl last year... they didn’t put him position to make plays and it’s on them that this defense sucks. Butler should be fired there is nothing he can do at this point to make this defense better. Fire him put Mitchell in his place and go back to a cowher 3-4 or they could promote Tom Bradley his 4-4 defense at penn state was the basis for Seattle’s defense. Anything would be better than this steaming pile we call a defense right now.
Not true, Lebeau didn't run a Tampa 2, this defense has looked alot like that the past few years.I honestly wonder if other teams have scouted enough to know what alignments will cause Watt to drop into coverage instead of rushing, and they do that.
Either way, this is the same D scheme run here since 1703, and other teams have figured out its weaknesses. Time for a change.
