Jacoby Jones... we released Archer for this?

I think ventrone isn't 100% healthy yet
 
I keep checking back in this thread hoping for some news. Still disappointed

Plenty of of time to cut him still...They might be looking to see who is cut this week from other teams before making their cut. Hopefully anyways.

More of Mike Tomlin's nonsense. He basically consoled the guy when he took him out of the game. Even Al Michaels expected him to send Jones to the airport before halftime.

Jones is dead weight, cut him and give Sammy Coates a hat, or sign that RB that was tearing it up in the preseason with the Eagles. Bring in someone, anyone, with some upside, Jacoby has none.

And I only partially blame Tomlin on this one. Colbert, or even ownership should step in and say, "we need guys that can contribute, not guys who collect paychecks".
 
Maybe he can drive the golf cart?
 
Why would Tomlin keep Jones, can you imagine this was in NE and BillI cheat, he would have been walking to the dressing room Sunday Night. Makes zero sense.
 
Does Jacoby have some sort of blackmail on Tomlin?... that's the only reasoning I can think of.

I DEFINATELY do NOT watch billicheat on a regular basis. I haven't ever heard of him cutting or outright sending a player to the locker room at half time. I keep track of the cheating ******* regularly, so I think i may have heard if this was the case, SOME here think billicheat is the comparison or sets the bar, like a HOLY GRAIL sort of. He is not what you think he is. Which part is the cheater and which part is the honest. We will never know, but to use a convicted cheater as to set your level of comparison to, I'd pass. Tomlin struggles in some areas. but at least our beloved franchise isn't know as the cheaters !!!!!!!!! **** the cheatriots

He got signed to the Pats practice squad two weeks after we cut him and was on there for a month before they cut him too. I don't think it is because he hasn't recovered properly he's just a ST player and there are plenty of those around.
 
Jacob is a vested veteran and since he wasn't cut today before 4 PM he is getting paid this week, more Tomlin stupidity.
 
I don't know if anyone has said this, but these are playoff games. Brown needs to return punts, Wheaton or whoever needs to return kickoffs. We can't afford to lose a game to a special teams error.
 
In Tomlins interview yesterday, it didn't sound like they were cutting him - at least not yet. He will serve as backup.

That's too bad. He's wasting a roster space. If he is not going to be used, he shouldn't be on the team, and there is no reason to think he will be used again this year. He's less useful than Archer was at this point.
