Jacoby Jones... we released Archer for this?

I agree. Archer is/was better. Jacoby has become a turnover machine in search of some footballs. You can't say the same about Archer. I wonder if Jacoby needs to see an eye doctor.
 
Should we not pass to Brown either since he might get hurt? Is returning punts really that much riskier?
 
Jacoby Jones sure did fall off quick! He must not have access to Ray Lewis' deer piss antler spray anymore.
 
Even IF Archer was better than Jones, he still SUCKED! No way do you bring him back. We have better or at least the same currently on the team. And, as I mentioned earlier, put someone in on kickoffs and have them take a knee every time the ball is in the endzone. That alone is much better than how we have done to this point this year.
 
I really just think we should promote Wheaton to returner and use that roster spot to bolster depth at RB or somewhere else it's actually needed.

BUT if we're going to waste a roster spot on someone who only returns kicks, there are always little quick guys with breakaway speed available waiting to be picked up.. What about that kid we had in training camp a couple years ago who had crazy hype around him for his return skills?
 
Would Coates be a good option for KR? He has size strength and speed, but does he have the vision and ability to read lanes? Obviously Todman and Wheaton may get the role. Would you consider giving Coates a look?
 
Like I stated before I don't care who we sign at this point as long as we cut Jones. Archer, Adams, my 2nd cousin Scott.
 
It was evdent last night. Not only does Jones have hands of stone, but just look at the difference between how he and AB hit the hole on a return. On that return last night, AB ran with abandon. Jones always appears to be afraid of getting hit. Jones has absolutely zero chance of breaking any return. I believe his longest was about 30 yards and that was pure luck.

The big red flag on coates were his hands and his effort. Rather give Wheaton the job, at least he has good hands

Rumored on the radio this morning that we will be cut this week. I agree, cut him, use Wheaton for KO's, and use the roster spot to shore up depth at RB.

There is no reason to keep him at this point. Once you're benched because of fumbles, that's it. Wonder who they will sign?

Hope its true, but he should have been cut sooner. Some of the player decisions are mind boggling.
 
Put Toddman or Wheaton back on kickoffs and keep AB as punt returner. Re-sign Ross Ventrone.
