Also you seem to forget the multitude of wars where a population willing to do what it must has overcome far greater forces through guerilla tactics. And those were less well armed populations with less access to technology. Also a big majority of our armed forces would be on the peoples side.

You also keep ignoring the fact (presented to you countless times) that in the hypothetical situation where our Government turned on its citizens, a large portion of the military forces and police forces would NOT support said tyranny. As such, the citizenry would acquire through defection some % of military assets as well.

But please, keep arguing that an unarmed populace is better than one that is armed. Iran is a shining star example for you to study as you contemplate such heavy thoughts.

I could see someone's dad wanting to play army and have a tank in the back yard and the son goes crazy and steals it. I just think too much bad would happen if everyone had access to military grade weapons
