Don't think Ray Rice will be defended anymore...

Again, I could give a **** about the video. We knew Rice knocked her out and dragged her out of the elevator like she was a a bag of cement. Does the video change the facts ? No. Is a murder worse when it is caught on tape ? No. Rice was guilty of knocking her out before the video surfaced and he still only got a 2 game suspension, the video does nothing to help or hurt his case.

well since he was only facing a two game suspension before the video and now has had his contract terminated and suspended indefinitely...I would think his case was hurt by the video.....

The ravens have CUT Rice. He is ALSO suspended indefinitely by the NFL. Way to go Roger. Got it right the second time!

Beating a dead horse here boys .. Ravens did the only thing they could do in light of the new video. We all know that it should have been done sooner ... I do NOT believe the reports that the Ravens and NFL Never saw this video .. This is a cover-up that will destroy the NFL shield .. If the owners do not question Roger Dodger now then they need to have their heads examined =

Attendance is down at games now because of the price and the fact that people get a better view of the game on their HD TV's lets see what happens now that people are getting to see how corrupt the commish is

What does the viseo have to do with anything other than highlighting how bad the original decision by Goodel was ? We KNEW he knocked her out, there is no excuse for a man knocking a woman out even if she attacked him. I am sure Rice was strong enough to subdue a woman if she him without smashing his fist into her face, you know the physical evidence the cops used to arrest him for. This video caused nothing but a face saving move by the NFL who already knew he knocked her out and could have cared less.

Again who cares about the video ? We knew she was knocked unconscious by the thug so why the 2 game suspension ? did we think it was a love tap that knocked her unconscious ?

It certainly doesn't change my opinion...I don't care what she did or didn't so, she's a small woman and he's a professional football player. But, they certainly did try to give the impression that this was a mutual violent incident. She sat there and apologized for her role in it, and the Ravens tweeted out her apology. This tape clearly shows that he was largely unprovoked. Certainly not in any way shape or form defending himself. And possibly the attack was premeditated...he appeared calm until he thought he was out of public view.

Whether the Ravens and the NFL knew this all before today, we will find out I'm sure.

Dood, you can't take "yes" for an answer.

Most knew her apology was bullshit when she decided to marry him , a wife cannot be forced to testify against her husband. As you said there is no excuse for a professional athlete to hit a woman , especially in the face.

No, I've been "outraged" for a long time. Like I said, I love the game and my team, so I'll watch. But I'm not buying tickets, merchandise, etc. I'm sure my pennies won't be a blip on the radar of the money-making machine that is the NFL.

Yes, but it gave them cover, as someone mentioned. Anyone who wanted to tell themselves that maybe she was just passed out drunk, acting like a violent crazy woman or maybe the hit wasn't actually as bad as they'd heard, this video shatters all doubt.

Other than the bruises on her face that matched his fist which resulted in his arrest. You do raise a great point.

I'm agreeing with you, ok? I thought the original punishment was way too lenient. You asked what difference the video made. It makes a difference for someone looking for some kind of excuse or justification. Not to me.

Wow watching NFL Live and Ron Jaworski's comments just floored me in a way he indicated that this was KNOW .. The other guy -- can't remember his name for the life of re-iterated that the NFL and Ravens did not see this video

This could be the beginning of the end hopefully for RG..

The thing that gets me is that IF the police AND the judge at his pre-trial hearing SAW THIS TAPE and didn't convict him (allowing a pre-trial diversion), when will they ever convict?

When it's "Average Joe" rather than a "Star Athlete" who it appears has the weight of his team backing him up.

Goodell made $40 million last year. Not smart / savvy enough to realize this video was going to surface eventually. He is an empty suit.

I'm just happy the Ravens are in the midst of this turmoil during Steelers week. I think it helps our chances with them being in disarRAY. I hope the Steelers kick them while their down and take advantage of this.
