Don't think Ray Rice will be defended anymore...

My thoughts on this, as if it matters:

There have been so many lies on this. Rice lying about what went on, the woman, the NFL and the Ravens. To state that the NFL didn't know what was on that video is just unbelievable. One of the justifications by the experts for when Ben was suspended is that the NFL knows more than any of us do, and there is more to it. Now they come out and try this ****. Goodell should be suspended. Or should he? Should we hold the NFL more accountable than say, the US Government, which lies to us with impunity? It is just so damn disgusting, the whole thing.

Part of me also thinks if this woman was willing to take punch to the face that knocked her out and stay with the guy, **** it. Let him play. It is 2014. No more victim status for anybody.

That's the way you see it. My guess is you have never had an angry crazy assed woman jump on you hissing a spitting like a wet cat.

The only spitting I saw on that video was when Rice spit at her as she walked past him before they got on the elevator. Looked like the lil **** hid behind a pylon so he could sneak a spit shot at her. Her response? She kept on walking past him. The situation escalated because of Rice's actions, not hers.

In the video you can clearly see Rice initiate the physical contact prior to her coming at him. Also, what the **** stopped him from grabbing her wrists and stopping her as nearly every other man would've done?

You misunderstand I am not defending what he did or saying its excusable. What I am saying is that Rice isn't the total mad dog menace some here are saying he is. I am also saying that the woman holds some accountability here to being that she did make this situation into a physical confrontation. I am simply saying that if we hold him accountable for battery we hold her accountable for battery. None of us would bat a eye if this was a small man who took a poke at Ben, Worilds or Kiesel and got knocked out, so why is it different when a woman starts a fight? If we are going to have equality between sexes we are going to have to have equal accountability between sexes.

Again, I know you are the president of the he-man wimmin haters club, but you are nuts. There is such a thing as proportionality. He could have killed her. He was unlikely to be even slightly injured by her words or the way she swatted him away. Not to mention, this isn't a stranger randomly poking him, this is the mother of his children and a woman he supposedly loves.

I understand in some cases there is mitigating circumstances. This isn't one of them. She approached him he cold cocked her. If he had been say asleep and hit her in a reactionary self defense punch. I could see that situation. In a self defense mode but that's it. And again this isn't one of those situations. He had the option to refrain. He chose not to.

Which brings up a good point actually. What about the elevator incident in which Jay-Z and Solange (Beyounce's sister) was involved in. Solange assaulted him inside the elevator, no charges were filed, no one made a big deal about it and it was routinely joked about on social media. Should we just go ahead and say it's ok for a woman to do it since she's considered "weaker" without them receiving any penalties at all?

Yeah its not like they let a double murderer play for them 13 years after the murders and then erected a statue of him at their stadium .

Nah, that was just a little obstruction of justice. If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.

You can't tell me that the Ravens and the League are just seeing this video for the first time. I don't believe that for a second. So, assuming that everyone on the inside knew the extent of the violence of the attack and had seen the video, why would they have tried to salvage it and get away with a 2-game suspension?

Nobody says what she did is "ok". Did she drop Jay-Z to the floor with a massive blow to the head? I must have missed that part. Jay-Z seemed completely unharmed to me.

Oh, and by the way he and his bodyguard somehow managed to stay defend themselves without knocking her out. Maybe because they are huge, strong men and she's a small woman. Jay-Z acted like a man and Ray Rice acted like an animal. .

I believe the ravens had a chance in not seeing it.

but sweep Spygate under the rug Godell not a chance.

He saw it was going to sweep it under the rug until mighty media came to the rescue.

I haven't gone back to read all of the posts since the Rats and Goddell took action so bear with me if I missed something.

I must say, as much as I applauded the Rats earlier, I now think not so much. This video was known to exist. The police had it when charging Rice and deciding on what to do with him. TMZ just now got a copy to show the world. This was not a he said, she said deal as I said many times. So, why did the Rats now take action and why did Goddell take further action? Everyone knew about the tape. Seeing the tape makes no difference. The Rats are trying to save face as is Goddell and they should be called out for it.

You know the Pitt coach, Heyward, did exactly that, and it cost him his job because his baby's momma had bruised wrists from him grabbing her, and everyone claimed the bruises as proof that he beat her up.

Things could get a lil "dicey" for Ol' Rog tomorrow

The only thing the video does is pressure the team and league to do what should have been done earlier. Godl is going to make whoever was supposed to make the tapes vanish, disappear themselves

The point I'm trying to make here is, in a domestic dispute, as a male you're going to lose 100% of the time. Rather you're the aggressor or the one taking it like a man, because people will do whatever they want as long as they know they can get away with it. Yeah Jay Z wasn't really phased too much from it, but i gaureentee if no one else was there holding her back & Jay just stood there and took it he wouldn't of been as ok as he was after. I'm just saying the punishment should be fair on both sides.

I don't understand where things went wrong...he had The Knife as a mentor.

In 2000, when Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was charged with murder and later agreed to plead guilty to obstruction of justice and testify against his co-defendants, the Ravens stood by him. Today, the Ravens decided to stop standing by running back Ray Rice. In the opinion of Lewis, that’s because his own case is a lot different from Rice’s.

Lewis, now an ESPN analyst, addressed the situation on the air today.

“There’s no comparison,” Lewis said. “There is no comparison between me and Ray Rice. It’s night and day.”

Lewis said he talked to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti today, and that Bisciotti said he hadn’t seen the video of Rice punching his wife until TMZ posted it this morning. Lewis said Bisciotti’s visceral reaction to that video explains why Bisciotti decided to terminate Rice’s contract.

Lewis, who revealed on the air that as a child he witnessed a man physically abuse his mother, also said he was personally upset by seeing Rice punch his wife. Lewis said he has tried to be a mentor to Rice.

“I’m disappointed. This is personal for me so I’m torn because this is a guy, a young man, that I really took under my wing and tried to mentor,” Lewis said.

Lewis said he considers Rice a friend and cares about him. But Lewis does not want to be compared to Rice.

Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.

Makes you wonder what was on those patriot tapes even more doesn't it Rodger the dodger

This video does make a difference. Ray Rice is a piece of ****.

Equally so is the new NFL policy on domestic violence. Men do not get a fair shake and get falsely charged with this **** all the time.. and if your wife/gf is hot you're going down with as little as a lie and or sob story.
