Cry baby Brown at it again.. suspended?

All I have to say is this: KEVIN COLBERT FLEECED MIKE MAYOCK WITH THIS ANTONIO BROWN TRADE!

I still think this was a good deal for the Raiders. They gave up very little to get AB. Yes, they gave him a new contract but they had plenty of money so even if AB is a total bust after a season and they decide to cut him, it won’t kill their cap.

The Raiders 2 biggest priorities are building buzz for a move to Vegas and finding out if Carr is the franchise QB. AB helps both goals. If Carr can’t have a good season with AB then he’s not the guy.

AB is also an automatic scapegoat.

This was damaged goods. Maybe he was worth $100 per share but he devalued himself and worked his way out of town to get a new contract. While at the time I didn't like the return, hindsight shows this was the correct move. Shame the Bills trade fell apart for us or we'd have had even more in return. AB self destructed and caused all this. I have no doubt in my mind that he has CTE with this erratic behavior.

Ayep.

You don't think they had him somewhat in check until he felt slighted by Juju winning team MVP and Ben dressing him down after Denver?

That was the straw that broke the camels back. His me first attitude is why he blew up about JuJu. His punishments were always based on his production...that is a problem. When Rooney termed the facebook live video as a "minor annoyance" and rewarded it with a huge new contract you just enabled his behavior.

I don't see AB playing football this year. We are witnessing an absolute self destruction of this man. He's put himself in the corner and he's going to end up sending that signing bonus back to the Raiders.

We rode this clown ride until there was nothing left of it.

There’s a lot of players with CTE that don’t act like this.. how about this is just the type of person he is and always has been. A me first, ego driven idiot. According to Ryan Clark, this is who he’s been his whole career but money made it get worse and worse.

Thats a pretty good perspective...

I just think that AB expected the Steelers to fall apart without him... and while they still may, it currently seems like they have replaced him and aren’t even remotely thinking about him anymore... I think he is adjusting to that reality poorly... i still feel he will force his way out and go to one of the teams the Steelers refused to trade him to...

He is basically a jilted ex now...

Man. This is fantastic. Glad he is gone. Brown probably wants out cause Burfict keeps gesturing to him in the showers.
" You Mine" :jaw:

Per Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Brown had to be "held back by a couple of teammates" when confronting Mayock. It's hard to see a path where he returns to the Raiders any time soon.

Holy ****.

The steelers had inside info. AB’s issues were not public knowledge. The steelers could have done a much better job of keeping the dysfunction in house. And the arbitrary trade deadline? That was stupid.

Buffalo offered a 1. AB did have value. AB then went crazy on twitter and let it be known that he was running the show and had to approve of any trade. That’s when the market dried up.

The buffalo deal didn’t fall apart. AB killed it. If the steelers worked with AB to get him to a preferred destination, they could have gotten value.

Why am I so certain of this? Because it would have been in AB’s own best interest. That is his only motivation and the steelers could have used his own greed to keep him in line for just a few weeks.

I still strongly disagree. The decision to trade AB was correct, nobody disputes that. But the steelers still mishandled the negotiation and didn’t get enough.

If you own a stock that is $100 per share and it drops all the way down to $20 per share a few months later, did you make a good trade if you sold it at $40? No, you may have been right to unload it at 40 but you should have sold it when it was at 90 or 80.

I’ll say it every time. The steelers could have kept AB happy for just a few more weeks by praising him publicly and working with his agent to make a trade happen. AB would have been fully on board with getting traded to Oakland and getting a new contract. All they had to do was kiss AB’s *** a few more weeks and they could have gotten fair value for him.

Without getting convoluted, I disagree with this.
When his stock was $100/share, it was before the disaster that was the month of December 2018 for us.
Once December hit, the stock took a DRASTIC PLUNGE because of his antics.
The best speculators can't predict market volatility.
A Clown went FULL on crazy.
We decided to honor his request for a trade.
We had a deal with Buffalo for your supposed $40/share ( I'd say closer to maybe $80 on that one ) that A Clown said he would torpedo and not show.
Not sure how that is mishandled.
If we would have just traded him to Buffalo without telling him or Rosenhaus, and he doesn't take the physical/report, guess what happens? Trades voided and exchanged goods revert back to original teams.
Oakland decided to do what Pittsburgh did for years. They caved to A Clown's demands.
They gave him a new contract and got him away from the Big Bad Ben.
We took a 3rd and a 5th from Oakland because there weren't any better offers because nobody wanted to deal with his crazy.
Colbert/Rooney said submit best offer by this deadline and Oakland won ( lost ) the competition.
The market dictated the cost of the highly damaged and tainted good.
Did you think Pittsburgh should have traded him BEFORE December 2018? Why would they do that with the information we knew at that time, with the stats he was putting up at that time? We would have lost our collective minds.

I'm tending to agree more and more with the fleece comment.
ALL this off-season nonsense from A Clown is proving beyond a shadow of a doubt it was always A Clown and not the Steelers/Ben/etc.

Colbert, Rooney, and Tomlin created this monster. If they had reigned him in years ago he would probably still be a productive member of the Steelers right now.

Maybe the guy was just a ******** from the beginning. The money brought it out. Sometimes no matter what you do,it can’t be fixed.

I remember when he had his first great season. He proclaimed he would get 2000 yds the following season....you could see his whole demeanor change. When he didn’t get the ball he sulked. There was that streak where he was going for consecutive games with I forget how many yards per game happening at the same time. They would feed him the ball no matter what. Remember they would feed him garbage yards that meant nothing to keep it alive.

We all know a person that’s embarrassing to be around. The person that just has no filter. The type that all you want is to just shut the **** up. This is AB. Yes,I was disappointed the FO didn’t get more for him. But give them credit. The train wreck was happening. He wasn’t going to shut up. God knows what other personal things will come out in the future about the locker room. You know it’s far from over. Anybody that’s been around team sports, knows there are all sorts of things that are sacred.....things that are unsaid to the public.

This prick will definitely say them. He is the poster boy of the “all about me generation “

You're implying they could have worked with AB. This is a guy who has lost his ******* marbles. This isn't a video game where you can make a trade based on his stats and what he brings to the field. This man has absolutely self imploded and it was kept mostly in check the last few years.

That ended when he quit on his teammates in week 17 and decided to go to war on Twitter. They weren't getting more for him, despite your thoughts, beliefs or whatever logic you are trying to apply. They took the best deal they could get for him given the circumstances and the FO was blasted for underselling AB. You're still implying that they undersold their stock.

Guess what? Now that 3rd and 5th look exactly like I said earlier, they ******* FLEECED OAKLAND.

AB's best interest for himself was getting paid to feed his warped ego. He got paid but if this man was right in the head he would go about his business and prove to people he's not a nut job. He can't even handle that. Foot issue, made up helmet issue. Now he's fighting the ******* GM who traded for him and paid him a monster contract? When it ends for AB and they dissect his brain, CTE is going to be discovered and maybe we will all feel sorry for him for how this all went down because he truly should be the greatest Steeler WR of all time. He ****** that up and we have moved on.

Part of Belecheat's "master plan". Get's word to AB to keep ******* up to the point Raiders release him or trade to Pats for next to nothing just so Raiders can be rid of him. Brown becomes model citizen under "Brady's influence". Pats win 7th Lombardi. ESPN offices flood under the slobber generated by their talking heads about BB's "genius". Hey, prove me wrong. Stranger things, etc.

I don't understand how any of this can even be argued. He's a ticking time-bomb and the Steelers got rid of it at the absolute best time possible.

The gift that keeps on giving!

I've never seriously considered that CTE is the cause of all of this, but now wonder.

Just how stupid can this #84 guy be. If Oakland cuts ties with him, any other team in the league would be insane to give him another shot.

Good for Mayock for holding his ground.

The media seems to allude that he was a great guy for the start of his career... I think the fame and money, particularly all the accolades just went to his head... there definitely was a change in demeanor with him...

Some folks have this logic in their head that they could have done better. If they had a better offer for him and didn't take it, shame on them. The only one we knew about was Buffalo and AB ****** that up for us. Can't sell devalued currency above market value. It just doesn't happen except to fools.

That we got a 3rd and 5th for this guy, in retrospect, is utterly ******* amazing,

This is a league that gives headcases with talent ample opportunities... if Rae carruth or aaron hernendez had gotten out of jail and been in football shape, some GM would have given them a shot.... TO had meltdown after meltdown and still kept getting chances... hell Ochstinko punched Marvin Lewis at halftime of a playoff game and stayed on the team for years...
