Cry baby Brown at it again.. suspended?

Keep in mind Mad, these teams you speak of have to have the cap space & dough to keep this nut happy. I heard the Pats are slim on that, not sure about the others.

I agree with all of that. What i’m Saying is that the AB tantrum came because the steelers excluded him from the process. He hears on TV he’s going to Buffalo and went apeshit. I believe that if they worked with Rosenhaus right from the second the season ended, it could have had the same deal to the Raiders except for a 1st round pick because AB would have been getting everything he wanted.

I certainly cannot refute your comment with evidence. However, tape, you have to admit that you have no evidence that Brown would have avoided his tantrum if he had been "involved in the process."

In my opinion, his hissy fit about the Buffalo trade had nothing to do with his being involved in the process; it had everything to do with bad weather and a mediocre QB, i.e., Brown's numbers. If the Steelers had called Brown and Rosenhaus and said, "Hey, we are thinking about dealing you to Buffalo. What do you think?", Brown would have unleased a Twitter barrage.

As to working with Brown and Rosenhaus to get him dealt to Oakland, and Brown playing along and making the deal so smooth that the Raiders give up a 1st, hell maybe two 1sts, consider this. Colbert is offered the Bills' 1st, number 9 overall, for Brown and the Steelers #1 (the #20 overall). Oakland offers the #27 pick. The Steelers think they get a ton more value out of the #9 pick than the #20 and #27 picks (because they do), accept the Buffalo deal, and work with Brown and Rosenhaus in the process ... at which point Brown goes apeshit, because that's what he does. Again, has nothing to do with keeping him in the loop, etc. Has to do with his numbers - nothing else.

So the Steelers seem to have a deal for the #9 pick, Brown goes berserk and kills the deal. You think for a second that Oakland says, "Heeeey, we still need to give up the #27 pick because there is a hot market for Brown out there, and wow, a ton of teams willing to deal a #1 pick for a ******* headcase"?

I think not. But again, neither of us has a scintilla of actual evidence to prove our point. We are simply arguing based on our personal interpretation of the facts.

So glad he's not a Steeler anymore

Unless this guy had a complete meltdown in just past 9 months or so (and I don't necessarily believe that), I absolutely can not fathom how Tomlin & Co. were able to keep this nut in check (minus a couple things that fell through the cracks) for all these years. A head-scratcher for sure.

I have said it several times about 3-4 yrs ago savran said it was the most immature team he’s ever been around. It was known it’s just the steeler media is a bunch of ball sucking hacks more worried with keeping the .org happy then posting what they knew.

Perhaps the HC and FO are better than some suspect in Pittsburgh???

Steelers to NFL in regards to AB.

WINNING

Would you reward your petulant child for being a jackass in the store? Hell no you wouldn't unless you're a dumbass parent. NO ******* way would I ever reward bad behavior, at that point your teaching your kid that bad behavior and acting like a class A1 ******* will get you what you want. You're only enabling that little jackass at that point.

Steeltime, if you listen to the recorded telephone convo between Rosenhaus and Brown regarding the Buffalo trade, Rosenhaus TELLS Brown “I don’t think that is the direction we want to go”, even though the Bills has a deal on the table to discuss the player’s demand.

Brown isn’t smart enough to realize what’s best for him, his agent did the work to kill Buffalo’s trade attempt. It’s interesting we haven’t heard one iota from Rosenhaus after the helmet issue was resolved.

Isn't this the same type of **** that Legarrette Blount pulled, just on a different level? Act a fool, **** up, get yourself cut, and the *Cheats swoop in and pick you up? Wouldn't shock me in the least if all of this is by design so AB can ultimately get where he really wants to be.

I agree completely.

I agree with this. I know we got draft picks, but i still would have made him play and shut up, made him sitout, or fine and or suspend him. I am glad he is off the team, not the whole thing sets a bad standard for others to follow

While I agree with this premise 100%, we don't know what happened inside those locker rooms. What I do know -- is Tomlin kept the lid on a nuclear type of disaster that Oakland is dealing with right now. The GM there is basically ******** his pants right now about what he's going to do about a player that threatened him physically.

The Raiders are in a very difficult situation. The Steelers got out of what obviously looks like a very difficult situation, with it basically being something they kept the lid on for a long time.

Whether you like Tomlin or not, just give the man and this organization props for getting rid of this cancer at the exact right time, and move the **** on.

As for whether or not Brown should have been kept in the loop - He refused to take calls from Tomlin, Roethlisberger OR Rooney. How the **** do you keep him in the loop if he won't answer the ******* phone?

Probably through his agent.

Probably through his agent.

Rosenhaus is not known as a player negotiator. Communications would be: My client doesn't want to talk to you. My client doesn't want to play for you. He makes money if AB leaves for a new team and gets a new deal. There is ZERO incentive for playing nice in these situations for Rosenhaus. It worked for TO, and he got it to work for AB.

You can't wreck your season just to prove a point. He had to go.

I thought wig was talking about AB getting traded and keeping him in the loop but AB wouldn't pick up the phone. So I stated Rosenhaus was an avenue to take if the FO wanted to keep AB in the loop. Which if this is the case then this would have fallen into what you just posted. ...but I might have taken what wig posted the wrong way.

I agree, Rosenhaus would have been in any communication about any potential trade partners. He would communicate that to his client, and his client could react badly to scuttle said trade...

So if AB gets released, there are 3 teams that will never deal with him again: Steelers, Buffalo, Raiders. Dude is running out of bridges to burn...

I believe there are more than 3 teams that he has burned bridges with and he doesn't even know it yet, there would be very few teams willing to take on this sideshow

Can someone tell me why they are talking about the Raiders being able to void his guarenteed money for conduct detrimental to the team and cut bait with him. If that is true why are the Steelers on the hook for 20 m this season.

The Steelers probably would have lost the case for conduct detrimental since all of his antics really happened after the season and he had never been suspended prior to the last game of the season.

Plus the Steelers wanted draft picks in return for AB instead of cutting him for detrimental conduct.

The way I understand it is, if he plays week 1, they are on the hook for his guaranteed money, if they suspend him there's a possibility they could not be. I don't see how you can't suspend him if he threatened your GM.

Wow... what a downward spiral for AB..

This guy might end up homeless or in prison down he road.

I really believe he does have serious mental health issues.
