...local news source (cannot be named) says Butler will be named......contract details being worked out with management.
Information is 20 minutes fresh...take it for what its worth...

Welcome aboard Keith....lets fix this !!!

I get excited when we get new blood... And if Jarvis actually plays above pop warner football

mixed feelings about this.................

would have liked them to interview at least three

but I guess we will see

he runs around well

I like this it made no sense to keep him around, pay him bigger money just to wait for DL to leave and when DL leaves not give him the job. Now let's see what he learn from the master......

It makes the most since, really...........player familiarity, well versed in knowledge of the zone blitz scheme and probably opened and willing to throw in his own additions....hes learned from one of the best. I cant find fault with it.....if Keith is whom they wanted all along, why waste any other candidates time if theyve really no shot.

It's on Pro Football Rumors. I think it be legit. Says it should be announced tomorrow.

I honestly feel like we owe it to Butler. Lets get this **** fixed.
I think Lebeau agreed with this.
**** isnt get fixed until we start drafting better players. The thing that worries me about Jones is that no matter how difficult everyone says Lebeaus defense was, when you're a pass rusher and your told the rush the passer you should be able to do it, Jones hasn't done anything when rushing the passer.

Eh, before the injury he had 2 sacks in the first 2 games of the season. Then he went out in Game 3. Did the hand affect him? I don't know, but I do know that James Harrison was quoted in the nameless paper the other day saying Jones wasn't able to use the hand at all from the time he came back until the end of the season. Knowing what a big part the hands are when rushing the passer I would have to think he was hampered by it.

I really hope this isn't true! We need someone outside the organization!

yeah he did, and one of those the QB was flushed right into him, I want to see a guy that gives Olinemen fits, he may turn into that, but even when
healthy he has shown very little pass rushing ability.

He's done a lot of THIS:

That's true but when talking about his entire career in "healthy playing time" you're talking about 2 games this year and how many as a rookie did he get extended playing time in? 4? 5? Pretty small sample size to judge a learning curve. Next year will tell the tale...provided he doesn't break another hand.

That's a pretty quick hire to have been caught completely off guard by Dick's resignation.

Spike did mention earlier that since Butler is a FA, they need to move quick if he is their man. I'd think they had this planned for awhile when the changing of the guard occurred. You don't keep KB around this long with extended contracts and healthy raises if he wasn't the next DC in line.

Dulac is reporting it for those interested.

9 yard cushions? just kidding.

Nope...i heard he is going to modify it to a 8.5 yard cushion. He was quoted as saying that this game is a game of...ummm 1/2 yards.

Also he was not able to work out with any weights. They said he was just basically doing cardio.
