The loss to the Chargers in 1994 was unforgiveable. We ONLY had Neil O'Donnell at QB. I guess we did face an uphill battle against the Chargers and the mighty Dan Fouts at QB. Oh wait, Fouts was retired...I guess the Chargers had Marino or Elway or Montana at QB, right????
We lost to Stan Humphries and the Chargers. Stan ******* Humphries. There's a reason we were huge favorites in that game. If you've ever felt a head coach was responsible for not having his team prepared to play a game, then you have to place the blue ribbon on that game for being the biggest example of a coach not having his team ready to play.
and yet they still didn't have Big Ben at their disposal...
see when you do not have a franchise QB under center you really can not expect the outcomes to be what you want in comparison.
Because we know looking at rings, a QB is what stirs the drink.
A solid D can get you to the big game, a top QB will push you to being great.
