Black Monday

I think Butler will be fired soon. Porter and Olsavsky too. Maybe the Rooneys can Colbert for someone more aggressive and consistent with talent acquisition. Very unlikely, but more plausible than Tomlin being fired.

Tomlin is hands off. Rooneys love him. He will retire or die before he is fired by the Rooneys.

It will be days before any kind of moves are made with any coaches. It took 3 or so days before Haley was let go.
 
How would you rank these jobs? Rodgers is probably a pain to work with, but that is the best job by far. Cleveland has to be a clear No. 2 with the rest being a jumbled mess.

I really hope not. Kevin Colbert has consistently put the players on the field. Everyone and Pats included has misses. Dipshit just cant use them right or is overly stubborn with the misses.

These are all a reflection of the coaching staff and their approach to fundamentals and details.
How is it that "Wink" Martindale the Ravens DC has in a very short time has produced such a dominant smothering Defense? Talent? Of course but players do not put themselves in position to succeed, coaching develops talent and prepares them for the upcoming matches.
The Steelers have fallen woefully short IMHO in many of these categories forcing the Offense to carry (somewhat) the team. Same for the Special Teams.
Until this coaching shortcomings issue is corrected, 2019 will be nothing more than wash, rinse, repeat!

They have basically the same players on defense as last year and they weren't nearly as dominant. Martindale is in his first year as DC isn't he? He made a big time improvement.
 
Sports reporters are talking about how most of the HC's fired today are black... here we go with this now. Maybe it has nothing to do with color and they weren't good choices for the job? Maybe the Rooney Rule is not a good way to bring in the best candidate? I'll say it again, race be damned.. give me the best person for the job!
 
I would hire Lewis for the DC job, I just wouldn't want his input on any of the player's characters.

If you have any concerns about how Tomlin controls his locker room and holds his players accountable then there is no way you should even want to consider Marvin Lewis as a potential member of the coaching staff.

The more minority coaches you have in the league, the more that will get fired. It is hard to argue with any of them, except maybe Arizona's coach. Wasn't here there for one year?

And speaking of guys who should be on the hot seat, how long does Elway have in Denver? If he wasn't their greatest player ever surely he'd be gone by now.
 
How bad has it gotten that we want an ex bengal coach.
 
I'm not sure if I'd hire Marvin but I would sit him down and listen to what he has to say about our defense.

I believe the Rooney Rule is more on getting a person of color "interviews" and their name out and about. The owners were just recycling the same coaches over and over.
