I'm not so sure. Munch is a smart guy. He might not want any part of Elway (who is on the hotseat himself).

I know I wouldn't trust him (Elway) for a second.

Sources tell PFT that the Browns are expected to hire an offensive coach who will work closely with and develop quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Funny how the teams inevitably keep retreading the head coaches. I'd be inclined to hire a known good commodity from the college ranks over a retreaded head coach. You basically need a great manager as head coach who can deal with the entire spectrum of personalities, can get his team inspired to walk over hot coals for the team, and also lay down discipline when its called for no matter what their level of tenure is.

I'd then make sure his offensive and defensive coordinators are well experienced NFL coaches who know how to counter the strengths and take advantage of the weaknesses of their opponents. I would not hesitate to hire a retreaded head coach for those positions. The coordinators had better know how to create a scheme to match their players skills rather than to live and die by the scheme no matter if they have the talent to do it. They need to know how to make adjustments when necessary and then leave them the hell alone to coach.
