Black Monday

I am not even sure about Butler. I could see a scenario where every coach is back, and they do little to nothing in free agency.

Same. The relatively strong defensive performances against the Pats, Saints, and Bengals would be some sort of justification to keep the entire defensive staff in place.

I would feel for Butler if he gets the axe, because we all know he is doing what Tomlin wants him to do. I would like to see him get a chance to run HIS defense, it would finally answer the questions.

I'm running this show Tomlin is gone tomorrow. I bring in the 4 best DCs for interview. Round one is a leadership sit down with Colbert, Ben, Fichtner and Munch. Round two is you gotta a week to look at the cut ups of the season. Then I want to hear what your solution to the defense is.

I would really like to know Colbert's honest assessment of Tomlin. Colbert is responsible for putting talent on field. Love to know what he really thinks of the coaching staff.

Boz will get cut. All others will stay, even Butler. Boz is sacrificial lamb. Tomlin goes 8-8 next year and finishes 3rd in AFC north behind Baltimore and Cleveland.

I doubt anything will happen except maybe ST coach. Pittsburgh "D" finished 6th overall I believe so why would you get rid of that DC..................................

exactly. looking at stats, we did ok.
looking at game film, you wonder if other defenses are really that hideous or if our ****** defense is masked.

Rank 28th in the league in takeaways at -10. Some point to the interceptions and while that's a problem, our inability to create turnovers on D is glaring. Attribute that to poor tackling and coverage personnel/skills. We haven't had a true ball hawk for quite some time.

....not masked they gave up enough late drive TDs to know there is a obvious problem there. Stats aren't painting a total accurate picture.

This was it in the final analysis. Everything could have been hidden with some more turnovers. If you watch it Watt is the only one who effectively tackles while RIP and strip the ball. The safeties are usually so far back they can never get the deflected passes. The defense is too safe. They may not give up as many big plays but the trade off is no turnovers.

Coaching Changes

Lewis gone as Cincy HC,

C'mon Steelers make your announcement that Tomlin is gone!

Donks fired Joseph

Well Bengals just got better, they could be better than us next year now if they have a healthy lineup.

Steelers organization won't make any moves today, they "do things differently" than the rest of the league.

The Bengals were depleted on O even with the 7 points gift holding them to 6 points was a must

Broncos requesting to interview Mike Munchak. I have a feeling he will take this job if offered.

We lose munchak and keep Tomlin until next year.

Apparently, a lot of teams are interested in trading for John Harbaugh.

I wish they were showing such interest in Tomlin. I'd hate to see him go, but......
