Bills Likely to Rest Starters Too -- McDermott Outmaneuvers Tomlin

Bills are playing Allen. Looking to win their game easily unless Miami can figure out how to stop him or the Bills pull him in the 2nd half.
 
imho, Josh Allen is NFL MVP. He's having a fantastic season.

What I said about Ben not needing to practice was facetious. He's been taking time off (Wednesdays) all season, and In my opinion, the more practice he gets with his young receivers, the better. Maybe the rest will help him. Maybe it won't. At least they're playing Cleveland.
 
Bills played Josh Allen in a meaningless game.
If he'd gotten hurt, would it have been worth it to be the 2 seed?

Well, obviously I was wrong about McDermott.

I have no idea why he felt willing to risk Josh Allen for an entire half. Maybe he likes the way his team matches up with the Colts. Strange, because had they lost yesterday, the Bills could have played the Dolphins again in round one -- a team they dominated by three touchdowns in the first half. I clearly overestimated McDermott's strategic acumen...my apologies. The good news is it worked out for the Steelers, which was my main concern. Sometimes one can lay his cards down early, but still end up with the best hand.

No, the smart move for McDermott would have been to rest Allen, assume the Steelers would lose, still get the two seed, and play a weak Dolphins team in round one. Glad I was wrong about the guy.
