Maybe, but then if that's the case why were Bell and Harrison pulled, that's my only problem. Also why can't anyone question anything Tomlin does without being called a hater? AB had two bad drops, one resulted in an INT, oh no I'm an AB hater, it's a damn DISCUSSION board
Because the criticism by certain posters has been so consistent and over the top. "Worst coach in the league" and other nonsense like that. If you watch a lot of football, most of the stuff Tomlin gets slammed for is done around the league on a regular basis. Doesn't mean that he can't get knocked when he does it, but too many want to act like he's the only one who has any problems. Clock management for instance. Most coaches seem to struggle with this, but to hear some, only Tomlin does. When another coach screws up, these folks have a million excuses. Another is calling him terrible at challenges, when he's actually one of the best in the league at challenges.
I remember one hardcore Tomlin hater who didn't post for 6 months after we won the lowB repuS, yet I would see him regularly in the list of members online that the board we had back then used to display. I can't stand people who have a million opinions, but can never eat a little crow when they're wrong. It's not just here. These types are on all of the sports boards, and would rather see "their team" lose, so that they can complain, and rip all of the players, and coaches. It's sad.
Also, as for why Bell can go to the bench when Ben can't? Because Williams is good at his job, while Landry, not so much. The qb has to touch the ball every play. He has many more chances to screw up. This may be why no coaches seem to want to pull their starter. It just doesn't seem to be done any more.
