Ben in a walking boot?

What does the severity of the injury have to do with it being stupid as all hell to leave your franchise players in the game at that point in the game. So if Ben has a broken leg it's a bad decision, but if it's just a bruise it's a good decision?

Funny,I just finished watching Green Bay demolish the Giants and Rogers played the whole game, guess the coach over there should be fired too, God I wish I was as smart as half of you guys here so I could be a gm in the NFL ......

I hope you Tomlin haters realize that despite all 4 games being lopsided, no coach pulled his starting qb. I guess Carroll, McCarthy, and O'Brien are idiots as well.

If Landry had come in and fumbled a snap, the same complainers would be going wild, calling Tomlin an idiot for putting him in.

Nice try, but that was only an 11 point game at 10 minutes in 4th, not a 24 point game.

I think some just wish/hope Ben is hurt so they have something to ***** on Tomlin about. It is what it is.

Yes, if we bring in Landry and lose, all the people here who are "great" Head Coaches would be calling for Tomlns head

We are not out there in the heat of the battle and in the moment.....Let's face it MT cannot win.......

Green Bay got the ball back with 8:31 left, and an 18 point (3 possesion) lead. Out comes Rogers. Rogers passed the ball 3 times on the last touchdown drive. Coaches don't like to pull their starting qbs, especially against good teams.
It might indeed be dumb, but it ain't a Tomlin thing, it's an NFL Head Coach thing, as are 90% of the things people complain about Tomlin for.

Fire Tomlin - I agree

I was dumbfounded when I saw Ben, Bell, AB going back out there with a commanding lead that late in the game. Hell, AB was still returning punts. Dumb coaches decisions.

from the picture, the ankle inverted with a low range of motion for what looks to be an ankle sprain (Below the ankle so a low ankle sprain). It's a low grade if anything. He'll be fine.

If Ben would have been in there handing it off to Williams I'd have been cool with it. But pounding Bell, and having AB return punts, and Ben scrambling around was dumb.

Actually, Williams was in there. Ben threw the pick after Williams didn't gain much on first and second down.

You guys are more than welcome to correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't Deangelo in on the last series when Ben got hurt?

So WTF do we take one important piece of the puzzle out, and let arguably the most important piece in? This is why I am pissed off big time.

And again, correct me if I am wrong, but I could have sworn it was an 18 point lead at 30-12 with 4 something minutes left in the game.....

Hey, this might turn out to be nothing, but for god sake's why does it have to be something EVERY YEAR injury wise with this team?

I need to start drinking.

Bems always been tight lipped on injiries. Tp me he will not.be 100% next week.

Is this real? You tell other people that they don't know what they're talking about and then throw this shiner into the ring. Ben is one person NOT afraid to discuss injuries with.

No worries ... the Steelers found the solution:

It really doesn't matter which side of the fence you are on, fact is, excuses are made on both side. One side tends to view the coaches as teachers and prepares the players for live action and they either buy into it and produce or resist and fail as a team. The other side simply does not like Tomlin. Period. If he was to win another championship there would still be faults found about Tomlin. Nothing will satiate his acceptance.

I disagree. I think if I was a Pats fan and that happened, I'd be like Bill has won a lot for us, but that was ***.I think most fans were like, get Brown, Bell an Ben out. I wasn't terrible with him being in there. HOWEVER, I had no idea he would throw a pass that wasn't a slip screen. I honestly never thought they could be that dumb.

Yes, those are the only 2 sides, can't be anything other than hating Tomlin. LOL

Stopped reading here. This injury is on Ben. He has FULL REIGN over the offense and why he choose to calling a passing play befuddles me...but, that's the HC's fault???

Ben does not have FULL REIGN over the offense, Tomlin was asked this in his presser a few weeks back and said only in certain situations can Ben audible at will.
The only way to guarantee Ben doesn't get run up on is to pull him, you can say Ben should've threw it away, blah, blah, blah, but you take that risk away by sitting him.

As for the boot, if they thought it were serious he wouldn't have been out there kneeling and shaking hands, and he probably wouldn't have been at his presser.

This is the playoffs. You don't pull starters until the very end. I have no problem with Ben playing the whole game. He should be smart enough to not hold the ball and throw an INT late like that.

Maybe, but then if that's the case why were Bell and Harrison pulled, that's my only problem. Also why can't anyone question anything Tomlin does without being called a hater? AB had two bad drops, one resulted in an INT, oh no I'm an AB hater, it's a damn DISCUSSION board

The same coach that left Aaron Rodgers in the game went for it on 4th and short, on his own 42, with an 8 point lead. His decisions should clearly never be questioned.
