Be 100% honest. Do you count any of the Patriots Super Bowl wins?

I don't count any of them.

Pats got 4 of em now.

***** all you want about asterisks, but whining like little timmy on the playground "cheater cheater cheater" means three things:
1) Pittsburgh fans are pathetic crybabies
2 The Pats got the hardware and nobody is taking it away, and I don't see any asterisks in their trophy case
3) New England is and will continue to be the benchmark of success in the NFL - The Pats are the measuring stick by which other teams gauge how good their teams are, and have been for the last decade.

and I think the last one is the one that really gets you all right in the craw. The fact that the once might Steelers are a bunch of modern day also-rans. Got to try and tear down the Pats in order to try and make you feel better about having a mediocre team.

I love the fact that New England makes the Pittsburgh fans crap their diapers when the two teams meet.
 
The best thing about being a Steeler fan is that we don't need words or validation from other people, just a picture that says a thousand words...or maybe in this instance, 6 thousand words.

Believe what you want but as just about any fan from another team and the MAJORITY of them will say the same thing ... the *Pats and Belicheat are Cheaters.

That's ALOT of hardware lol. The Pats are gonna have to do a lot more cheating to catch up with that. Deflate those balls and roll that illegal film boys!
 
It is what it is so I still count them. Hard to say what other teams got away with / didnt get away with before. I heard some QBs say balls were tampered with all the time and deflate gate was way over hyped. The new report is that only one ball was severely under inflated not 11. I dont see this any different than a pitcher scuffing up a ball or a batter using more pine tar / casually erasing the batters box with his foot, etc etc...
 
The facts reamin that the Pats are outliers in so many different areas its impossible to think of them as anything but dirty worthless cheaters. You cannot skew the stats that badly without a gross amount of behind the scenes stuff going on, and the league has had such a history of burying wrongdoings like cheating that one can only imagine how bad it is... too many of those HOF voter guys who are behind the scenes and in the know have insinuated they will never vote for BB, which typically means there is more there than they are saying cause for those blowhards to be that skewed against a guy with that much winning under his belt, they have to know a heck of a lot more.

As evidenced by the last couple of weeks, 90% of current and former NFL players and coaches think they're cheater too. That team's name is mud.

..and if not for a dumbshit mistake by Seattle the Pasterisks*** lose that 3rd superbowl in a row after cheating to win the first 3 by a field goal each....mark of excellence my ***. You ***** are 4-4 in the big game. And half of those you shouldn't have even been in it.
 
The first 3 IMO all have an Asterisk to them because of SpyGate.

This 4th one just has a big question mark....?WTF......Seattle WTF?

This. i count them with a big ole * next to them. Are they good enough to win without cheating? Sure. Who knows what else they have used as a cheat that we DONT know about. If everything was above board i could still see them getting to 3 superbowls but not 6. Winning 1 or 2 of them.

honestly great post, i agree 100 percent, be it the pats or any other team besides there own favorite, too many sore losers out there, give credit where credits due, there is a **** tone of teams that tote the line and dont get caught, great point on hgh, or steriods, if we counted that as cheating , i think the whole league would be call cheaters. Of course there going to be hard on a team that sets records and wins alot, people want to believe that they have to be cheating in some way to be good. Again not defending any team in general, it happens in all sports.

Nobody believes that being good means you are cheating. That's just a strawman. People believe that the pats** cheated because they got CAUGHT cheating during spy gate and the NFL burned the tapes and did everything the could to sweep it under the rug. Of course you are defending the pats** that's who's being discussed in the tread. Also individual cheating like Junior Seau is between the league and the player and has NOTHING to do with the team via the players union and the contract they signed. Trying to correlate steroids to systematic cheating by a coach is just wrong. People love to justify cheating by the typical "everyone is doing it". But of course there is NO proof of others teams... just the pats**. If Atlanta is guilt of piping in noise then punish them. They punished New Orleans (remember ignorance is no excuse) to the tune of a year for the coach. I expect the same of the pats**. Even if Belicheat didn't know about the ball issue he needs to be punished like Peyton... no excuses.
 
No, I don't credit the Pats for any Superbowl wins while under Belicheat. No other major sports league or association would allow a "champion" caught cheating while winning a championship to keep said championship.


the NFL has lost soooo much credibility IMO, just sad.
 
If we believe that the Pats** under Belicheat won 4 SB's using nefarious and illegal means and they shouldn't be counted, then we shouldn't count their two SB losses to the Giants either.
Which I'm okay with.
 
I believe they played this SB legit

but who they beat to get there not so much more Bmore than Indy

but the first three SBs are tapes destroyed Spygate mirrored in cheat.


I think the formation and deflate issues need to be addressed and handled so that it never happens again.
 
If you cheat to get to the big game it doesn't mean you won legit just because you couldn't cheat IN the big game. You cheated in the process to help get the end result of what you needed. You would think out of 6 super bowls they would have blown out teams with this greatness with which they destroyed teams during the regular season? Not one. All close around 3 points or a loss.
 
Probably unpopular but yes. The NFL is a win at all costs league and all teams bend the rules. Do the Steelers wins in the 70s count when a good part of the team was juiced? The Broncos only won with Elway when they were paying players under the table. The Saints-bounty, the Colts-artificial noise, the Patsies spy gate then deflate gate. All teams are doing it, it is the standard rather than the exception.

Please be correct when you reference the Steelers and steroids in the 70s. Every team by then was doing them. Roids were introduced into the NFL in 1963. Roids weren't banned by the NFL until 1983.

Well... You DO cheat. I don't know about crapping any diapers. But the Steelers have to expect that the **'s will be cheating. Right?
 
Well what I count and what RGNFL count are 2 different things...so to be honest it really doesn't matter what I think...they have been handed the Lombardi's and no matter how much I don't think they should ..it really doesn't matter they are being counted
 
It does matter.

The more people continue to recognize and remember the fact that the **'s have cheated and don't deserve a single one of those superbowl trips (excepting the Bears game in the 80's, 84, was it?) the more and more likely we'll see the **'s and their fans melt down as it becomes more obvious that the NFL world simply doesn't respect their cheating.

Then there will be the H.O.F. voting down the line. That's when it will get interesting. One day SOMEBODY needs to remember this ****. Somebody needs to take into account that Brady and Bellichick didn't deserve ANY of those trophies and the only way that happens is if the scandal stays in the public eye.

Frankly, remaining an irritant is the responsibility of a fan who cares about the game. It's true.

Wasn't implying steelers cheated with roids, all the good teams were doing them and they were not yet banned. Just saying that people will do whatever it takes, including performance enhancing substances to win. You don't think they are all cheating and pushing the boundaries on a down by down basis? It is part of the game to deflate any advantage possible, and if you think you can get away with it is it really cheating in the NFL?
