Be 100% honest. Do you count any of the Patriots Super Bowl wins?

Talking with a Patriots fan he says to me how the Patriots are like the Steelers of the 70's. I shook my head and laughed with a smug grin. He was either drunk or stupid because he asked what is that supposed to mean. And I just said straight away I don't count any of the Super Bowl wins of the Pats as much I don't count any of Barry Bonds Home run titles or Lance Armstrongs Tour De France victories. I said they are cheaters the same with the Patriots and as a Steelers fan I would rather lose honest than to cheat a super bowl. He mumble something about being jealous and went to his side of the bar. Made me laugh to think that for the rest of his life when he is not talking to a Patriots fan no one else will likley count those as super bowl wins either. But then I thought he honestly thinks the Patriots deserve these wins. I think the other 31 teams should boycott the NFL until theirs an * and explanation of spygate and deflate-gate to each of their wins. Even in Canton their should be an * next to their wins. I think it is only fair for the teams that play by the rules.

No, I do not. They are all tainted and fraudulent.

This won't be popular, but I count this year's Super Bowl. If you don't recognize a Super Bowl based on the seeming likelihood that they "optimized" the footballs they were using, do you ever count anyone's Super Bowl as legit?

What if it came out that the Colts piped artificial crowd noise into their stadium in 2006, is that title tainted?

What if it came out that a couple members of the Giants were using HGH when they upset the Patriots in 2007...does that mean the Pats should have won?

The Raiders accused us of doing all manner of things in the '70s like making sure the boundaries of the field were pretty slick and icy.

Brad Johnson admitted he "tampered" with footballs before Bucs beat the Raiders...is that one tainted now?

I see them still at ZERO. I have no respect for that organization whatsoever. How could i be jealous of something i'd never ever want my team to be. A fraud and a cheat. They're a work of fictional greatness. I think they have NEVER stopped cheating and it goes way past flat footballs.

Be 100% honest. Does it matter?

No, they cheated, I didn't think the deflated balls were a big deal until I heard guys like Rice, Brunell, Aikman, etc come out and call them cheaters. Then the sharp research where, prior to BRADY petitioning the NFL to allow teams to bring their own footballs to away games, NE's fumble rate was right in line with every other team. The new rule is passed to allow teams to bring their own footballs to away games and suddenly their fumble rate is suddenly so much better than every other team, even the dome teams the very next year. This year not one fumble by a RB, not one fumble period at home. Ben Jarvis Green Ellis never fumbled ever in NE, he goes to Cincy and has fumbles 5 times in two seasons. Come on, let me guess that's all coincidence?

I think the ST Louis super bowl win should be thrown out. You just can't tape their practices / steal their signals the way they did. The evidence was so bad Goodell destroyed the tape and he and Kraft are frat buddies with pictures of each other in their homes.. That says it all.

They were busted filming on the Jets sidelines too.

The Deflate gate is a different story. Undoubtedly the Patriots did cheat by using deflated footballs. There was a study done that showed they fumbled the least by far....and they had quite a few different RB's and WR's during their run. Check the below study!

Coach's take. They would have at least one less super bowl win if they followed the rules in terms of video taping, and inflated footballs. I also feel New England has had the easiest division to win for years. As such they get an almost automatic invitation to the playofffs

Do you think that the Patriots organization cares what we think?

The history books are written by the victors. Patriots have 4 SB wins and 4 losses - that's all that matters.

Another ******* Pats Penis Envy thread?

when will it ever stop?

No.
10 char

No. But make a poll of it

No. But with Brady they were good enough to win a couple without cheating. Sad individuals.

I count zero. the cheated for the first 3 with video and the last 1 they got there by cheating with deflated footballs and were handed the victory by the most horrible playcall in the history of the NFL.
As terry Bradshaw says: 4 Superbowl championships in 14 years, that's cute. We did it in 6 years.

I dont think they needed to cheat to beat the Colts. obviously, they thought differently.

I think they were absolutely scared apeshit to face the Rams. The Rams entered that Super Bowl having just dropped 29 points in the conf championship and 45 in the division game. averaging 37ppg in the post season. The Pats** scored 16 and 24, averaging 20ppg. Their defenses were very similar, with the Rams having given up 273ppg and the Pats** 272ppg. The Rams had the only margin of victory in double digits in the entire league (14.4), with the Steelers the next best in margin of victory, at 8.8

of note, the Rams' games in the post season were all indoors.

In the regular season, the Rams were held to 17 ppg or less twice indoors, winning one of those.

Yet somehow this vaunted Pats** defense held the greatest show on TURF to 20 points below their average, despite being a middling defense? and without ... cheating?

right.

**** no. I don't count any. They stole 2 appearances from us as well. We could very well have 8 rings right now.

The record book has the Patriots winning the Super Bowls, so I count them. That does not mean that I respect the organization.

Talking with a Patriots fan he says to me how the Patriots are like the Steelers of the 70's.

LOL. Ask him how many hall of fame QB's did the Pats beat in their Superbowls? The 70's Steelers beat Staubach twice and Tarkenton, plus the Cowboys Doomsday and Vikings defenses.

Living in NE, I can tell you that they find it particularly irritating when I say, "Yeah, the Steelers had four Lombardi trophies when I was 8 years old, but your collection is kind of cute too."

Just like Roger Clemens wins, Barry Bonds HRs and Lance Armstrong Tour de WhoCares wins.

I count the wins but they are tainted and should show in the record books with an asterisk.
