Allar project underway
Yay another season of watching a has been at the most important position in sports. Then we gave him a raise LOL. Awesome as long as we play bad teams. Can't believe anyone is actually excited about this
Well said. I just cannot comprehend the logic behind pursuing and re-signing an even older version of what we saw last year...and then handing the guy a 65% raise on top of it, for Christ's sake! Given the situation they have with two young quarterbacks who need reps and development, this move is pure lunacy.Boys, I know everyone here is a loyal diehard Steeler fanatic and I love that about our fans.
I don’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade about the upcoming season but please think back to January and Rodger’s performance in that playoff game.
He got mauled in that game and I realize the Texans have a great defense but he looked every bit the 42 year old QB he is.
What’s going to change this year? Another year older and slower I just don’t see much success especially against a tougher schedule.
Only a die-hard Penn State fan (and/or possibly Drew Allar's uncle) would type out and actually hit the post reply button on such an asinine statement. They should cut Will Howard now. Rodgers needs some reps as starter. Allar should get the bulk of the rest because he's the upside guy that McCarthy hand picked. Rudolph has a role as the experienced #2 who can be ready on limited reps. There's just not enough reps to try to develop Allar and Howard.

I could see one with a relatively injury free season.
Hell Brady won when he was on his last legs. Flacco won a SB. Ditto Dilfer, Brad Johnson,Foles.
I think perhaps your dislike for Aaron spearheads your perception. As if the team is proficient and plays together well there is enough talent to win something even if it is just one playoff game.
Coryea is gonna hate me for this, but as Larry the Cable Guy said" I don't care what anybody says that there is funny."He’s been busy mowing Ben’s lawn.
That is not ok.I’ll be rooting for significant injury early cuz the Steelers are too effin stupid to have any vision for the future. They say never root for injury…**** that. If the ownership is too stupid sometimes that’s the last resort to save themselves from their own cowardice and stupidity.
I don’t root for the Browns
The Steelers are becoming the Browns
Saw this coming, but definitely am now to the point that it’s time to take a year off…watch teams that give a **** and maybe come back next year cuz this song and dance is like taking your sister to prom…no winners ever coming away from this dance... And should the Steelers score they’re ******* their damn sister for fucksake.
Can’t even with the absolute stupidity and bafoonery of Art’s Steelers.
I think it potentially does the exact opposite. If either or both young QB seems to be growing under his tutelage it may set us up perfectly next year.I don’t dislike Aaron
Actually feel he gets us the most wins this season (9-11) of the four options.
BUT…his presence sets us back 1-3 years, maybe more towards actually stabilizing the position and becoming relevant again. I’d gladly take a down year or two to begin finding an answer to the most important position.
His presence will likely yield zero playoff success, but it seems many would rather have another year of mediocrity and to keep postponing finding a solution.
My anger at this point is all towards Art for being such a mediocrity loving dumazz.
Maybe…. we shall see bleedi-wan.
Bingo, but no, this is a good thing so we're told, Aaron is going to come in here and hold Drew and Wills hands and guide them through the halls like 1st graders on their way to the cafeteria. HAHAHA the most self centered guy isn't teaching anyone anything, if he was concerned at all, he'd have been helping Howard as soon as McCarthy was hired, or he would've showed up at the voluntary stuff to help them. Every other QB showed up to their voluntary workouts, why should we expect our starting QB to be a leader? He's happy going on McAfee and talking about keeping in shape to bang his wife.Well said. Didn't the front office watch the Texans game? Didn't they see Rodgers go 17-33 for 146 yards and an INT? Didn't they see this aged fossil average 4.4 yards per attempt and compile a 50.8 passer rating while getting sacked 4 times? Any rational football fan who watched that game came to the sober realization that this was the sad swan song of a former great. Nope, let's bring him back for another go at the age of 43. Without a mobile QB, good defenses are going to eat the Steelers alive. Again. JFC.
I was happy when Tomlin walked away, and McCarthy was hired. I'd hoped that a reunion between Rodgers and MM was not imminent. My worst fear has been realized. Get ready for another 9- or 10-win season, another playoff embarrassment, and another first-round 2027 draft pick in the neighborhood of #20. Can't wait.
Tutelage LMAO!!!!!I think it potentially does the exact opposite. If either or both young QB seems to be growing under his tutelage it may set us up perfectly next year.
Spot on as well!I don’t dislike Aaron

You have coaches that presumably can coach/teach and youth. They should introduce each other and see what transpires. I think if they stay QB looking that he won’t set them back as the roster is stable as long as there is a draft they can go shopping. I think the lack of options set the franchise back more than what he may or may not do.I don’t dislike Aaron
