if the player is on the line of scrimmage he can jump over the OL without the restriction about landing on a player....if he is off the line of scrimmage he can leap straight up but not over the OL or land on the OL
glad you are posting. But if you are going to quote verbatim from an article on Invalid Link - Check SN Home Page you should " quote " it and put in the link.
Shinning those windows? HA! If you only knew. You're a low IQ man living in a dumpster
I did not read Invalid Link - Check SN Home Page nor take anything from that site and post it here. I would never do that. This site was the only thing I read last night after watching the recorded game, I was unable do watch it live. I kept playing their running plays back, even someone like me could see what the Cowboys were doing. You're going to half to take my word, or not. I don't do things like that. I'm a small time poster, not trying to impress anyone.
agenda alert! Agenda alert!tomlin said he "had seen enough"...if we had a closer at rb we wouldn't be going through this every week...
who gives a hoot about Hoot?
you see LBs in coverage because the other team schemes to get those matchups...just as the Steelers do. Yeah it sucks, but it is not just the Steelers who do this ****.
Linebackers have to cover receivers that is just part of the deal. If a running back is in the game you cannot sit in Dime. Those DB's cannot tackle a guy like Zeke or even their two. It was a massive loss in Bush, even though he wasn't producing splash plays to the point he was hurt. He was the guy you could put in coverage and still rally to tackle a running back. Spillane has played admirably, but the cracks are starting to show. They have been gashed in the run the last two weeks. Strangely, Spillane has shown up in pass more than run which is kinda opposite what I expected. I think we might start to see the Williamson guy from the Jets soon.

Bleeding vag, he's a joke in that thread and a hypocrite as he sometimes bashes players too! I could quote him and start a thread with his own words, only to be ripped by some and then reveal the author later. Now that would be funny. I will however, help him out if he asks a football question.
Yeah the lb in coverage thing is league wide... its three situations... one is when the offense options a wr into a slot that the defense that is called requires a lb to pick up that spot
The second is zones the wr runs into
The third is a lb covering a short route while a blitz is on
We ***** about this way too much ... its just 2020 strategies...
Now there have been ganes where the offense is getting those matchups too much and we don’t adjust... but a few times a game its going to happen with how many 3to five wr sets teams utilize these days... plus most tes and some rbs are basically wrs as well
Dallas' coaching staff did a nice job on second and long and third downs that were under seven yards etc., they exploited the Steelers aggressive pass rush by giving our out side linebackers an outside lane and blocking down on our interior linemen. They gained allot of yards rushing the ball between that huge opening and I'm sure other teams took notice.
TheSteelers adjusted in the fourth quarter and basically told Gilbert to throw. Not happy with Bush being out, this is why they drafted him. He's not a great cover ILB but he plugs holes even if its after one to four yards and sideline to sideline vs. the run.
Yes, linebackers play coverage sometimes. Get it. However, the VAST majority of the time, the coverage is zone in a very defined area within 5-8 yards of the LOS, not 25 yards down the field against a WR.
"Yeah, the Eagles tried to cover Claypool with a LBer."
And gave up an easy TD.
Again, having a LBer, even one as talented as Watt, covering a WR 25 yards down the field is a recipe for a TD. So stop it.
Is this what occurred? Seems like every team would have the player with the best vertical leap doing that.
