“Fully vaccinated” Wouldn’t it be great if everyone was fully vaccinated? Or even 80%? Our current reality would be very different. This thread wouldn’t have exploded over the past month.

The cdc is still refusing to release certain studies… they are reporting the results but not letting anyone have the data… they say it will eventually be available if pressed on it. A lot of speculation that the vaccinated numbers are on par with the other countries that have released them… we will see…

the sad part is mrna treatments really might be the answer to a lot of issues they can’t seem to treat, and if these fail, people will dismiss them in the future… we were 5 to 10 years away from ironing out the potential issues with them… we just rushed them for this b rate pandemic….

I keep telling you all to mark my works… the political bungling of this pandemic is going to have major consequences when the big bad pandemic we all feared really hits one day… just like bungling ebola and swine flu inevitably led to the politicizing of this one… and how the Bush administration’s half assed pandemic plan caused so much confusion… its just logical dominos

Notice the IFR columns? Cases are rising...IFRs are dropping. Hmmm...wonder what that do be mean.

“May still be dying”? WTF. I guess you mean will eventually die? YES! I’m absolutely certain that there are people who caught Covid earlier this month, and are now among the 76% increase in hospitalizations and will eventually die. What don’t you understand about the progression? Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?

I'm not sure why it is so hard for you to grasp the simplest of points. If we had 10Million cases and only 10 people died from it, it is not a pandemic.

If cases rise by 400% but deaths only increase 3%...why the panic?

Look at the IFR data from June 1 alone. The death RATE is dropping. People may be getting it but fewer people are dying from it due to vaccines, natural immunity, better treatments and a weaker variant.

The infection rate is an absolute. It doesn't matter the # of cases, large or small. How many got it, how many died from it.

When you say + means cases are rising, you're saying until there isn't one more case of COVID on the planet, you're gonna be scared shitless and suggest we all be locked down. Hello....we KNOW this about you.

The virus is endemic. It's never leaving. We get it to the point it's like the flu, we move on. It's damn near about there.

If deaths begin to rise proportionally, then we all have a reason to be concerned.

And...we lose as many people in 10 days as we lost on 9/11...in...a...couple...hours? What an amazing stretch to glorify something. You take a catastrophic event that happened in hours then say it's just like what's happening...nationwide...to 331Million people...over...10...days. HOLY ******* ROFL.

You believe that someone who got COVID on July 1 may still be in the hospital after a month, from that infection 30 days ago? How many Flogged? Link??

You fancy yourself wise. We all know you are not. Were you aware...the average time it takes from the first symptoms of COVID-19 to death is 18.5 days.

People who have had COVID in the first two weeks of July, by and large...the vast majority...are recovered. Only a scant few %s of people who got the virus in the first week and likely the 2nd week of July are still battling it.

What don't you get about facts?

Well, Fort Bragg, NC just mandated that everyone, regardless of vaccination status must wear a mask indoors, unvaccinated outdoors on Fort Bragg. Christ, this is never going to end.
 
Mom's assisted living community went on lockdown today because an employee tested positive for it. Mom was at home during the first act of the circus so it wasn't that bad. She's going to be miserable isolated to her room for however long this goes on...

It's a nightmare that's completely spiraled out of control. There's going to be more variants and lockdowns and mandates - and it's on par with the flu for survivability rate.

People wonder why we don't trust the CDC, the Gubmint, CNN, PMSNBC, HuffPo, ABC, the LA Times, the New York Times or the phrase...trust the science.

The only thing they are holding onto now is that "well, it MAY keep you from getting severe illness".

IMO, this **** also ain't ever going away. Here to stay. Different variants. Forever.

For the record, I did get the first dose. Said **** the 2nd after multiple people I know got sick as **** after the 2nd.
 
The vaccines do a great job of lessening the effects of the Chinese flu on those who take it. That is awesome. However, as is often the case, a virus will mutate to overcome the vaccine. What happens is that the vaccine will kill off 99.7% of the virus on a patient, and the remaining 0.3% that survives is immune to the vaccine. Fortunately, that amount of the virus causes almost no symptoms to the person.

That person has a transmissible, vaccine-resistant form of the virus and can transmit it for a few days. He does so, and now the person infected has the vaccine-resistant strain, and so on.

The virus is not going anywhere. The vaccines are very good at lowering the symptoms significantly and saving lives. I am 100% with the CDC so far.

But then the CDC lies to us. First, the naturally immune don't need the vaccine. Can anybody cite a case of somebody with natural immunity who gets the Chinese flu a second time and has serious consequences due to the second infection? What, 10 people in the United States maybe, possibly less? That's not a pandemic for crying out loud. More people will be murdered in Chicago this weekend.

Second, the CDC rants about those under age 30 getting the vaccine. The explanations for why they should do so are a lie - "they could infect older relatives." Oh, you mean the older people who have had the vaccine and now have very low risk of any significant outcome due to the post-vaccine infection.

Third, the CDC tells the vaccinated they need to wear masks, because ... why? "They can get the Chinese flu despite the vaccine and spread it to somebody who has not had the vaccine and has no natural immunity." But masks don't prevent the spread of an airborne virus according to every study looking at the Chinese flu and masks, and further the vaccinated who get the Chinese flu generally have minor symptoms and don't sneeze and hack so they are not going to spread the virus via droplets, which is the only method of contagion the mask can slow, meaning the mask does not do a goddamn thing, other than the bad things masks do to us.

Fourth, the CDC and its butt-gerbil minions like Tibilo and Floggy have yet to say one GODDAMN WORD about fact tens of thousands of infected illegals are streaming across our Southern border and then just getting shipped to other parts of America. Motherf@#$er, the government is literally shipping infected to American cities, and nobody says ONE ******* WORD like, "Hey, maybe don't do that."
 
For over a year, Trump convinced his supporters (you folks) that Covid was a hoax, that the scientists & doctors were incompetent and not to be trusted, and that masks were political virtue signaling.

This is why we are where we're at. It's not that complicated or mysterious.
