He is not a Steeler.

I always enjoy when people begin discussing the very beginning of Steeler Nation.

I found my way here accidentally in (I want to say 98 or 99.) I base it on when I was in Tahoe and that was just after I got out of teaching (Spring of 98). Indeed, my very first handle was SierraWig But as I think about it, I probably found the site the following year in the fall of 99. That's how I remember it. Could be off by a year.

Back in those days, you could easily be invited to "suck a glock" or "die in a fire."

And if you think folks are occasionally hard on Coach, you never saw the dialogs that went on with Baltimore Greg or Hank the Tank.

Great times. Literally the "Wild West" of SN history.

some ******* told steelwheels (who was in wheel chair) to roll his *** out into traffic

I got here when the Trib boards closed... amazingly I haven’t been barred from this site like some of the rest... i mean i expect to be banned when i go to patsplanet and tell them BB is a cheating fraud... or telling the Browns board tge real browns are in Baltimore now... or saying hi on the gobungles site... but i think i got banned from ine Steelers board for insinuating that i wanted to see Tom Coughlin to get run over by a frat bus...

Steelers fans should have all wanted that to happen Back then... he was a dick

To be fair 99 percent of posters are more respected than outcooched. But I do like Ed he always seems like a cool cat.

Sent from my moto g(7) power using Steeler Nation mobile app

He was absolutely awesome. When I was younger he'd keep in touch via PM to check on how I was doing and always offered any help he could. Steel Rose is another, she always said she was my adopted grandma.

Yeah, the MODs back in the day had thin skin and inferiority issues. Plus they had problems with nipples. That's why I got banned.

Now we're left with Coolie who has been eroded down into a kinder, gentler version of himself, unless you start crapping on Houston!

We don't have to crap on Houston, god does it for us by way of the hurricane.

those come to wash all the crap (yankees and californians) out of town....

Lol, I moved to California in 79, raised in Pittsburgh for the most part. Quite a few people I worked with heading to Texas to retire in an effort to **** your state up as well.

Where you at in Commiefornia? I live in San Diego.

And everybody has been telling me to leave for years. I can't shake this city (it's by far the best big city in California), and family can be stubborn. I am totally open to Central Arizona though. Far enough north from Phoenix that you don't bake in the summer.

I first joined this place back in late teenage years... I think there was a poster named "beaker"? or something similar.. I want to say he was a Bengals fan but I could be wrong.

I remember edreed4prez. He knew football and wasn't a total tool.. that's all you can ask for from hated rivals.

EdReed4Prez stopped by the concession stand and P&R forum a couple months ago, helluva nice guy.

Oh and now that I see the topseeder here, wanted to share this (A Tribe Called Quest):

Walnut Creek, about 25 miles east of San Francisco as the crow flies. I have been to San Diego a few times, agree that it's the last major city in our state that I could live in. Great place. I have a sister in Laguna Niguel. I understand your sentiments regarding Az. Unfortunately for me my wife's family including our son are all here and not leaving anytime soon.

Walnut Creek, last time I was there, was a beautiful place.

And Laguna Niguel, great little area there. San Clemente and surrounding little cities, I'd move there in a heartbeat if it wasn't so damn expensive. Arizona is just more tempting by the day. I have to talk like a lawyer to family of the benefits (******* exhausting).

My sister moved to Laguna Niguel so long ago she got in when it was affordable so to speak. I'm not sure I'll ever win that argument either. I've tried but I'm resigned. I get to go back to see family in Pittsburgh quite often and I still love that town, made my bed as they say.

I hear you. My cousin (much older) bought a place in Encinitas in like '80 (christ, 3 years after I was born) and she's lived there ever since. One of the most expensive places in the U.S. to live, but she paid that **** off a long time ago.

They (her and her husband) made a great investment and they're loving life because of it. He's actually a photographer/videographer for National Geographic and they get to go to the most killer places in the world.

Encinitas, quite the move. Coastal towns are always great places but that's a bonus. A close commute to San Diego but far enough away. Very nice. Nice job as well, stress level gotta be low.

Ha, I don't get any time there. They're honestly gone so much, they should rent the place out.

I'm comfortable here where I live, and have a ton of friends in Baja California (Tijuana) and the surrounding areas. People tend to think Mexico is a shithole with just cartel people, but it's much lesser than that, lol.

was not saying it was their best song..just that their version was better

It certainly was a better version. Sabbath had many great ones...they were far ahead of their time.
