RD1- Najee Harris RB Alabama
Steelers move on from Conner and get a power back with good speed and surprisingly good hands.

RD2- Daniel Faalele OT Minnesota
Massive lineman at 6-8 nearly 400lbs. But he’s actually very nimble at that size. I’d still try to get him under 370lbs. Still Villanueva is a free agent along with Feiler. Chuks is a FA after 2021.

RD3- Marvin Wilson DL FSU
Guy is built like a brick shithouse and unfortunately has got injured the last two years. Probably slides to day two if he can’t showcase his skills in the offseason.

RD4- Drake Jackson OL Kentucky
Likely a center due to size but Pouncey is gone after 2021.

RD6- Patrick Johnson Edge Tulane
I feel Bud is gone unless he takes less because of his injury. Highsmith has a great motor but I’d like some more competition here. Johnson plays all over the defensive front and even stand up LB.

RD7a- Josh Imatorbhebhe WR Illinois
Big framed kid, good speed, decent hands and former 4 star recruit. Doesn’t have much production but leads the team in catches, yards and tds as a pass catcher. Illinois is really a poor pass catching team so this pick is on physical ability and in hopes we can mold him into something.

RD7b- Shaun Beyer TE Iowa
Beyer might be known best for his blocking he’s an underrated pass catcher. Limited opportunities with splitting time with another TE and the Hawkeyes aren’t a pass first offense but he ranks 4th in CFB according to PFF. And I doubt McDonald comes back and Gentry is an unknown at this point.

Id like a top 3 pick on the oline a 2-4 pick used on a rb, a high to mid round pick used on a lb and dlman... and a late round TE...

If a stud TE or QB falls to us in the first, grab him... but don’t reach

Never take a rb in r1... its always a waste

Yup, unless it's Adrian Peterson or Saquon you spend the 1st elsewhere and get way more value. Even if it's a can't miss RB they're an injury waiting to happen.

I'd take Najee. We need to take as sure fire a RB as there is with our No. 1 or, at worst, no. 2 pick. With Conner not adequate and moving on, we have no starter for next season. Snell isn't it. McFarland is a huge maybe if he can settle down and not be a spaz runner when he gets a chance. Samuels, once again, did OK with the few looks he got but he's not a No. 1 RB either.

I like Harris, he's better than Conner but how much of his production is do to the talent around him? That's the question. With our OL we need a back who can hit the hole quickly.

I like Etienne a bit better. It is possible than North Carolina's Javonte Williams is the best of the bunch.

Shouldn't piss off the board just because it is early. I look at the draft throughout the year. People who like it do that.

G is a position they could address soon too. As Dot isn't a proven starter (injury question marks) and Feiler is a free agent.

Again the best Center prospects are expected to get lost in the wash and drop to low the first or even the 2nd3rd round...
Pouncey is bearing the end of his career and nobody wants a repeat of the catastrophe that happened the last time we replaced an all pro center...

Pounce probably has two years left like Ben. I agree that the draft would be a good time to look at grooming his replacement. Besides we have very little behind him.

Please do. And please speak your mind, like the time you said Claypool is a 3rd round talent.

I like Harris and Etienne, but man, if we take a running back while having substantial needs along the offensive line...that'd be tough.

Tackle - Either spot needs an upgrade. There's a good chance Villanueva leaves meaning the Steelers need a day one left tackle and there's a good chance that 3-4 good ones are available late in the first. Some of these guys may be second-round prospects so it may require a reach to secure one.

Guard - Dotson is a guard of the future, but DeCastro was banged up this year and it showed. There will be a couple of guys there in the late first, but you can usually find value in rounds 2-4 here.

Center - Not sure if there's a first-round guy out there but again, an aging position that needs an upgrade.

Cornerback - The wheels can fall off Haden at any time, Nelson is an UFA I think after this year, Hilton and Sutton are both UFAs. Finding our next No. 1 cornerback is essential.

ILB - Our depth held down pretty well after losing Bush. There's still always room for playmakers at this position.

OLB - I know Highsmith is the guy of the future. This team needs pass rushers, though. They rotate guys too often so having three capable players is key. I still try to find a way to sign Dupree. IMO, he's our most important UFA.

DL - Like OLB, this team rotates their DL. Alualu is an UFA, Heyward is a year older, Tuitt has battled injuries. Getting another stud to join that group would only keep the front seven strong.

WR - If we lose JuJu, I'm looking at adding another receiver. I think we need a pure speed receiver. You have your quick guy in Johnson, physical long speed guy in Claypool, your do everything well nothing great guy in Washington, get the electric guy with the speed.

RB - This is probably where RB comes in for me. I want a guy we can hand the rock to and get 80-100 yards a game. Harris and Etienne will be studs, but not behind the OL as it's currently constructed.

Or the time you were banned for thinking Ed Oliver wouldn't be selected in the top ten. I saved it as your wants change daily then you try to lay claim. Or the time you didn't like TMCs S that is still playing excellent football. Or the time you liked a speedy corner that hasn't done **** in the NFL. I actually pimped a hall of famer in Watt. You haven't pimped anything but Walter Football and YouTube highlights. I stand by what I previously said as you being the worst draftnik in the history of football. Put no work in but thinks he knows something.[emoji23] You are a joke.

If we don't take a QB early, or look to find a FA QB as an insurance policy we are going to be in a world of hurt. Red Nose and/or Dobbs are NOT the answer. They need to start planning for post-Ben era sooner rather than later.

Even Coolie will tell you the bet was void by rules as Oliver was injured for too many games. My analysis on Oliver was spot on based on film review you idiot. We saw him last night, but you had to be watching very carefully as he made 1 total tackle

In 13 games this year, he has made 26 tackles and 2 sacks.

Does that sound like a good top ten pick to you? :)

My draft ability in terms of identifying who is good towers above yours. I have many examples where hindsight which prove me correct. You do not! You remain a sad little man, a joke, and a poster who I hope keeps making predictions!

We sure can get a good back in round two. By the same token you sure can get a good interior lineman in rounds 2-3.

We need to mix in BPA with Need and it that means a RB like Hairs or Etienne, so be it.

The top center will probably have a late first to early second round grade. Pouncey has been awful this year.

you did not do any film review....at least not factual review

Oliver did not flash a lot of stats...but he was part of the DL that the steelers couldn't run against. He was in on the sack of Ben and his one tackle was a TFL

I did see Pouncey throw him to the ground on one play though

Our bet was where he would go in the draft and I was right. As was posted a few times, if you had not started crowing about him falling down draft boards as the day got closer, you would not have been banned for losing the bet. Your comments made it seem you felt the bet was still in play, so I treated it as such. Hell it is a bigger accomplishment for him to have gone so high after being injured his Junior season.

Anyway, the bet is history, he is a Bill and I wish him well, but don't really give a **** how his career goes.

Not sure I agree both Ben and Pouncey will be around in 2 years...

We need to get a young blue chip QB prospect with our first pick in the 2021 draft,

Its already "later" Pride.

I just showed you how your draft analysis was a joke. Nothing you do towers over anyone. Maybe window licking you are an expert in that field. Your hindsight isn't based on anything but Walter football analysis and liking a plethora of prospects so you can hang you hat on one. Even then it is usually riding other posters coat-tails. They suggested it and you jump on board like you did with Claypool. Show me the sights you go to for your "game tape" review. I am waiting. We know it is a lie from a habitual liar.

3 of the first 5 picks need to be C, G, T...

IMO, we need to look at OT first and foremost. Then CB. Somehow, WR, then OLB and interior OL/DL. Unless Trask falls, I don't see a QB worth taking in the first.
Villanueva is getting long in the tooth. He was getting pushed back a bit yesterday.

I like Najee Harris at RB, and feel he might be another good Bama RB in the NFL, but I don't believe he can run behind the OL we have now - with one more year on them.

Haden is going to eventually succumb to Father Time. We all do. It's inevitable. Do we want Sutton to take over at CB? or Layne? I'm unsure how well either would do starting. We saw vs the Redskins that even Alex Smith could pick apart a secondary of Layne/Sutton at CB. The NFL is going to continue making the pass a priority, as it sells tickets and puts ***** in seats while also pulling in huge commercial revenue.

Heinz suggested that we'll likely sign a UFA at QB, as that is our modus operandi. Likely not someone in "Tier 1" but a middle-cost QB to hold us over a year or two. I wouldnt mind if we got Carson Wentz, but doubt he'd be affordable for us. We all know he's better than the scrub **** we have behind Ben.

Highsmith looked pretty energetic out there, but, again IMO, he doesnt have the "It" factor. Bud's gone, but we'll have to depend on Highsmith and Ola for a bit.

Hard to know about Highsmith. I think he has the chance to be a solid playmaking option you can win with. I think like Bud he would take some time to develop. Not that I am suggesting he would become as good as Bud. Tackle sure gets my nod too, as Banner is an injury risk, and CO isn't a lock to be able to handle LT. Although I think he is athletic enough to handle pass rushers.
