Tomlin Blames KO Returners

The moron decided to kick off the ball and ut the game in the hands odf the terrible defense he coaches due to our terrible KO returners. Who is the moron that decided to keep the POS Switzer and Holton as his KO returners and cut the skilled and dangerous Spencer ? This guy is a clueless dumb **** and all his stupid decisions are based on the results of his previous stupid decisions. The emperor has no clothes as the NFL is finally finding out without Ben to save his bacon.

I was wondering if that Roughing the QB penalty was a call that Tomlin could have challenged because it certainly altered the outcome of the game and Ola hit Jackson at the waist!

I think the only penalties you can challenge at this point are PI penalties.
 
I only follow one team, this one.

We seem to have a problem with untimely fumbles, (not that there is ever a good time) I brought it up in the game thread last week about coaching and fumbles after Dionte Johnson fumbled, I was reprimanded by someone who said that he expects that a professional football player should not have to be coached to hold on to the ball.

My response would have been that the professional football player in question is playing in only in his 4th game out of the football factory known as the University of Toledo where he left as a junior, but it was game thread, not the time nor place.

After seeing James Connor Fumble a couple of games away, Xavier Grimble fumble a score and a game away, and Ju Ju just fumble another game away. I have to ask the question, it sure does seem that our team makes a lot of mistakes that are basic fundamental football. Is this correctable by coaching?

Chuck Noll built his dynasty by preaching the fundamentals of football, at least I think he did, or did I dream that?

If Tony Dungy was not married to that stupid, outdated, Tampa 2 defense, I would seriously consider bringing him onboard in an advisory position, possibly, as a prelude to a Director of Football Operations position when Colbert leaves. He is a disciple of Noll, he understands fundamentals, and I think Tomlin needs an ally in the FO who can offer him some sage advice.

Tomlin and his team are at a crossroads. We are seeing now what a future without Ben looks like, and a Team that does not play smart football, that does not have a HOF QB to bail them out, will be on the outside loking in time and time again.

What happened to Rudolph was terrible, yet the D holds on and the rookie undrafted QB plus the RBs make a game out of it just to lose because of a fumble from your best weapon on offense when the team was getting into FG territory for the win.

It's a crushing, mental draining loss. Don't know how they are gonna react after today, the wind was just taken off the sail and critical injuries keep piling up.

Ravens players were going for the football all game long.. they knew Steelers players were very susceptible to fumbling. It finally payed off when it mattered most. Not only did Humphrey caused it but he had enough time to pick it up and run a little too.. crazy.

All on Tomlin. Play dumb in the beginning(wildcat), go in the hole, then hustle at the end to come up short. That is Tomlins story over the years. What other legit coach would be too chicken **** to let any of his QBs be a QB? LOL, dumbest organization in the league..

Really that is what you got from watching three hours of that ****.
Point one: you expressly tell the special teams coach that if you do not tell the returner he takes the knee on EVERY possible touchback he is fired.
Point two: that JV wildcat bullshit was cute for a week when the **** team didn't expect it. But backed up in your own end. And he was supposed to run or throw. Really.
Point three: it is second and one in scoring territory and they haven't stopped your lead back for a loss once and again you go wildcat. Really.
Point four: on the crucial tieing series it is third and one. You are running people on the field as the offense is at the line. They make an easy mockery of the attempted stop.
So yeah it's pretty hard to overcome a horrible bullshit call and a coaching staff that the one time they get something right they are congratulating each other like they won the ****** game.

he is looking ahead to next year when all the transfers Holgorsen has signed will be eligible to play.

Ahh, I was agreeing with someone who was actually blaming the fumble on MT. That single point. Don't need to convince me that MT is a dumpster fire.

The thing with point one is that it happens across the league; players are taking the chances on it for whatever unknown ******* reason. Was Holton even back there after that? You have to trust your players to make the right choice, and returning the kick isn’t it. That said, it happens LEAGUE WIDE. Even belicheat has guys do that. It isn’t right for ANY player to do it, but players are going to do so anyways, as it continues to happen.
Now, point two, what the **** was so hard for Samuels to throw the ball away? He was well out of the pocket, and had zero reason to force that ball. Also, while it was a crummy *** throw, it also looked like Washington turned the wrong way as well. Would it have mattered? Should it have mattered? No. Samuels should have heaved that into the sideline. Should we have run it? Maybe not, but it had success last week, so you’re feeling out if it’s gonna have any chance of gaining steam again. It didn’t, and it didn’t work all damn game long. Running it at third and goal at the end of the half is a total joke, though. Now, I largely agree with your post, but these things are the truth of it for at least those two points. Right call, or not, specific players failed in those two instances.
