So the smart thing to do in OT is to kick??? How many teams have kicked the ball off to start OT?

Several times? I recall someone doing it because of wind issuesPatriots have done it several times, I still think it's a dumb decision but even the best HC did it before.
no way in **** you pin that loss on juju. **** that.
I was wondering if that Roughing the QB penalty was a call that Tomlin could have challenged because it certainly altered the outcome of the game and Ola hit Jackson at the waist!
It was under 2 minutes. The booth/Al Riverbum should have intervened...

don't think roughing the passer is a reviewable penalty
Is that a reviewable offense?
I think the salient point here folks is that Ben Roethlisberger has never had a losing season. Mike Tomlin has never had another QB.
Except in 2010 when Tomlin went 12-4 and 3-1 in the 4 games that Ben was suspended. With Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch as the QB's.
look what a 1-4 start drags in......
Like a train wreck, I just had to see the negativity in this place. Glad to see things haven't changed around here!
same ole same ole...quiet as can be after a win...full of bitching after a loss
Before you ask the question...our starting QB is OUT FOR THE YEAR; our 2nd string QB was KO'd.
The decision was EXTREMELY BALLSY but it was the right decision.
Did anyone ask "why didn't Delvin Hodges jump on the ball instead of boxing out the defender???" Juju shouldn't have fumbled - Hodges HAS TO RECOVER THAT FREE BALL...
The Ravens had two possessions, we had one. The 3rd string guy just lead a TD drive and a FG drive, unless the weather is horrible and the wind is a factor, I never not take the ball in OT. One miss tackle and it's game over, see Chubb last week vs Balt, one missed tackle and he's gone 88 yards for a TD. I'm not blaming that call for the loss though, just IMO you always take the ball, just like I'm not blaming Tomlin for JuJu fumbling, I'm not a huge fan of Tomlins, but I can't put that on him.
I totally agree, not sure what the hell Hodges was doing, looked like he pulled his best Cam Newton imitation from the Super Bowl.
just IMO you always take the ball,.
Who were the freaking refs? At the OT coin toss he says "Both teams get one possession". I said to my wife, did they change the rule? Grab my laptop and Google NFL overtime rules and no they didn't. Refs don't know the freaking overtime rules either.
Actually he explained why he chose to defer. Agree with it or not, he had a rationale, and it worked. It’s not like we had any sustained drives in this game - not scrim the shadow of our own goal posts. Defense played fairy well after first quarter.

I'm sorry, but it's bullshit. It was ******* stupid! This isn't college football. He's a ******* moron. I don't care that he had a rationale, it was ******* moronic rationale.
yeah, most here agree...but it worked...the defense held them to -4 yards and a punt....
