How does the NFL not step in and suspend him??? He threatened the GM and called him a racial slur..

Well the second part of the prophecy hasn't been fulfilled yet. Unless there is a link saying he got off, I refuse to call him Nostradamus

I keep checking ESPN every 5 minutes like all the rest of Steeler Nation as we wait to see if he actually gets suspended....

That’s not how precedents work. Do you really think that a plaintiff has never won a similar lawsuit that was lost by previous plaintiffs? That’s essentially what you’re implying. Each case is unique and tried on its own merits.

Previous plaintiff? AB is the same guy, not a different guy as in your analogy. AB’s disciplinary history would have no impact on Pouncey having a grievance but it certainly impacts a grievance AB may have.

If the steelers all of a sudden suspended AB for being late and AB can point to 5 years of him being late and them never doing it, he’d have a very strong case that his being late was acceptable

why do you think most businesses do periodic employee reviews? It’s to establish pattern of behavior to justify and potential actions like firing or even raises. It prevents somebody claiming they were treated unfairly.

And in the current situation, precedent is huge.
If the Raiders don't suspend him for all his **** before the first game, they can't use it LATER to suspend him as they already chose to overlook it. Sure they can document etc. but they can't use ANY of his current actions for a future suspension.

And say Brown gets "turf toe" 3 minutes into his warmup at Denver? 14 million baby! And a whole season to get other teams to fall in love with him.
 
If I were a reporter talking to Gruden on camera, I'd ask him if Mike Mayock was at least given kneepads for when he is now required to blow Antonio Brown?

Reported on twitter, in order to settle things down in Oakland, Mayock to be given mouthwash and lube for use in future interactions with Antonio Brown.

Can not believe they caved and he is going to play on Monday night. I used to have respect for Mayock but not any more. What a *****!

And, the racial slur goes on top of all the other AB BS the past few years. The league absolutely should be suspending him for 4+ games for conduct detrimental to the league. Imagine if anyone used the N word. I guarantee they'd be suspended by their team and if not their team, the NFL would do it.

It's unbelievable that this idiot is going to get off scot free after completely punking his GM in front of the entire team, not to mention lobbing a racial slur at him and threatening to punch him out. I would imagine that will send a crystal clear message to the other players that the staff is utterly spineless and weak. Can you imagine what Burfict and Incognito are thinking right about now?

You know im guessing this is probably more commonplace than we think... NFL teams typically are pretty good at keeping stuff under wraps.... this particular one was just very public... never underestimate the sheer number of douchebags in the NFL...
