LeVeon Bell.....Update.....NOT EXPECTED TO REPORT THIS SEASON.....

Then why would he even bother going back to the Burg?? Was he trying to negotiate something with the team with the hopes of reporting? Was he conducting other business??

answer: Conducting other business as in "hiring a real estate agent and packing his bags"

Not the best possible outcome; I wanted Bell as someone to give Bell a rest instead of constant pounding.

Other than that, the TEAM is better with Conner chemistry wise; which has been lacking lately

Bell has a terrible agent.

So he sits out the year and then what?

Signs for the same money with a team that doesn't have the same draw as the Steelers, doesn't have the great O-line, or the WR core that helps his game, nor the top QB that makes him elite.

Good luck in Arizona where you'll make 18 mil/year until 2020 when they release you cause your stats are terrible.

JFC this is so stupid

This is a good point right here. The Steelers offered Bell $70 million over 5 years and he likely would have seen every cent of it. The only time the Steelers don't pay up is when a player stops performing (Woodley, Allen, etc.) and I didn't expect that from Bell. Although it wasn't "guaranteed" in the terms he wanted, the Steelers basically guaranteed him $30 million over two years. So if Bell does go to a poor team and he doesn't put up 2,000 total yards or if the team struggles and they want to rebuild, he gets cut after three years. He's not going to get a mega contract after he hits 30. Again, I don't care what he does, I just don't see how it made much financial sense.

Reminds me of Mike Wallace turning down big money from the Steelers to chase free agency. Guy was never the same after and a kid named Antonio Brown rose to the occasion and got paid big time.

James Conner, that's your money now. I hope the Steelers take good care of you.

And you just know that as long as James stays "James", they will.

The Jet will sign him next year, he’ll have a crap season or get hurt and they will part ways.

Emmanuel Sanders said what I’ve been saying all along: Bell could have just purchased an insurance policy if injury was his concern and for a small fraction of what he has forfeited. This was about pride and/or spite for him. He wanted the Steelers and their fans to beg him to return, when that didn’t happen, he decided to sulk and feel sorry for himself and continue to be spiteful.

I think it would be beautiful if, on Wednesday, the Steelers broke their own policy and offered Connor an in-season contract extension that included $14.5M up front.

Neil O'Donnell says Hi.

Until I see the Twit that says, "I'm Back Miami". this is all hear say. I'm more surprised that there is no video of him being in Pittsburgh. especially when it's been reported that he was in a Fitness gym, this day an age with cell phones.

And his agent said this would be his best season statistically. I can deal with wanting to get what you can but cannot deal with the deceit, lies and building false hope. NFL GM’s beware! This is who he and his agent are.

shhh, don't let them know. We want their 1st and 3rd round picks

Simone snapped this pic of him at DD

No one has ever accused Me’Veon of being smart. I hope he’s watching his new team the Jets

I don't think he can pass the Piss Test and he knows it. Once he signs, he pees in a cup and gets suspended for a year.

He has to stay out to protect his payday.

It ain't over until Tuesday at 5pm!

Plus we get $14.4M in cap savings on NEXT YEAR;S Cap!!!

Cope, that 5pm is that EST or what????

Salute the nation

Sorry it's 4pm

In the event that a player who is designated and tendered as a Franchise
Player has not signed a Player Contract with a Club by the Tuesday following the tenth
week of the regular season, at 4:00pm New York time
, the player shall be prohibited
from playing football in the NFL for the remainder of that League Year,

Eggs / onions / sourkrout, that's what's for breakfast........................Baecon too..!!!!!

You'll be hearing a lot of breakfast stories once BELL "no-shows" BUT UNTIL THEN, nothing is a giME

Salute the nation

I will say this. All season long, Bell has done the exact opposite to what has been reported.

Sooo, I guess he's showing up on Tuesday?

That's what I am thinking. Who really knows what he is going to do? Until 4pm tomorrow, everyone, including the Steelers are in a "wait and see" scenario with LB.

that ****** will show up at 3:45pm tomorrow.
there's quite literally zero sense in him not reporting today, getting his physical and playbook - if he intends be a positive contributor to the team this season.

I am sort of with you. But I have to go with how really ignorant he is in factoring in his decisions.

It really would be smart for him to report and get some money as a part time player. As no part time player is making that much coin.

But he is dumb enough to think he won't lose anything inactive for a year. I fully expect him to take the window licking approach and not sign the tag.

And with all his issues a team throwing a lot of money up front to him, is as dumb as Bell acts. So in other words the two will be made for each other.

Just as Conner is made for us.......................

He's not going to show up. If he had any interest in helping this team fight for a championship, he would have taken advantage of either the bye week or the short week (Thursday night game) to get closer to football shape and closer to cashing that weekly check for $852,000.
