He needs to be disciplined this week that's for sure. If I were MT I would approach it like a father would his kids, take all the goodies out of the locker room like the foosball table, ping pong table, and pool table. Make them earn that **** back.
 


Looks like Ben/Brown are NOT on the same page.

Brown argues with coaches at about ~1:30, seems he's upset but respectful to Finchner. Passion.
 
Said it before, I'll say it again. The entire team lacks discipline. It's on the coaches and management for putting up with it.
 
Antonio Brown is at it again.
Brown took to social media on Monday to respond to a former Pittsburgh Steelers employee's assertion that the All-Pro receiver wouldn't be as good without Ben Roethlisberger throwing passes to him.
Responding to the claim that he "wouldn't put up those numbers for other teams," Brown shot back this barb:
"Trade me let's find out."

You're damn right AB was frustrated, for as good a game Ben had, he was still not as accurate as he normally is. On top of that, brown was being grabbed and held all game and got ONE call.

I'm not worried about brown, Ben and him will be on the same page shortly, but they definitely didn't get enough work in the pre season, and browns quad injury certainly hasn't helped.

But anyone thinking we can just drop him and juju pick up the slack is highly delusional. Brown is still the best wr in the game and is still drawing all the coverage from opposing defenses.

I agree they weren't all accurate targets, but that's a but ton of targets for a wide receiver in a game. You can't go to him 30 times, or you're never moving the football. Some targets were his fault, or communication problems between him and Ben, or changing a route because he saw something different.

So the cold hard fact is on 17 targets, he caught 9, so 8 plays we lost a down. That's a big deal, and a pretty far cry from his 11 for 11 in week 1 last year when he had a perfect game.
 
The Steelers aren't really a team at this point. All the Me, me, me ! That is a reflection of leadership and apparently they have none. The rumors of Brown showing up late or blowing off charity work. Tantrums on the sideline and his social media stupidity. Inmate running the asylum.

The Steeler Way is dead. I know it is a symptom of the entire league bit I naively thought the Steelers were above this behavior. I have long held high respect for the Rooney family as owners but that is getting thinner by the game. We won't see action until the profits fall. Anyone notice the empty seats for the first HOME game ?

He’s a hell of a talent but I’d rather have guys that are consistent, not great but consistent running good routes and holding on to the ball that don’t act like Brown. Guys that aren’t going to put up all pro stats but good enough to move the chains and keep the offense in sync without all the extra baggage.
It’s not like we’ve won anything with Brown and Bell.

I hope whatever it is gets straightened out with Bell otherwise it will only drag us down further. We need his focus at 100% for the offense to be successful.

Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger: Antonio Brown doesn't want trade

Speaking on his weekly 93.7-FM radio segment, Roethlisberger responded to Brown’s controversial tweet from Monday morning.

“I don’t think he wants traded,” Roethlisberger said. “I’ll speak to him (Wednesday) and maybe I’ll have a different answer for you, but I think it’s the competitor in him, a guy who is still fired up. I think he enjoys being here.”

Brown’s tweet – the full context was “trade me let’s find out” – was in response to a tweet by former Steelers public relations staffer Ryan Scarpino that said the All-Pro receiver owes much of his success to Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger, who does not have social media accounts, said Scarpino’s assertion was not true.

“I’m a much better football player because of Antonio Brown,” he said. “I owe him a lot of my success and many other players I’ve played with.”

AB didn't show up. He is not above his teammates, just as Bell is not. As much as it will hurt, Tomlin needs to grow a pair and suspend him without pay. Enough is enough with his antics. Take some money away and maybe you'll get his attention. A loss this weekend and our season is on life support anyway.
 
Tomlin in his conference said he wasn't going to get into it, if it was a excused or not excused absence.

But I remember in the past you would hear if a absence was excused.

Conjecture. to me it means it wasn't.
