2018 Official NFL Draft Thread

Say what you will, but consider this

He has real good size......He is physical for sure.....Oh, and he can guard a TE...That is a long safety

I just don't get that pick. Maybe it will come to me in time but I see several S ranked by most higher than Edmunds and Edmunds was nowhere near BPA. He's not even BPA at an area of need. Scratching my head.

Guy has some nice speed. I know he is one of the guys the Steelers looked at.

He's only 6'.There were taller and better safeties available. I hope he turns out to be a stud but he won't even play this year.

Steelers coaching still think the secondary should be able to cover for 8-10 seconds because the QB has all day. Keep drafting edge rushers til you one find to do the damn job. Watt is decent, he’s not going to give us 10+ sacks this year or maybe ever. Bud is terrible, he’s not going to get better all of a sudden.

Freak athlete, and could be moved to SS and could play in the box in the Shazier role on passing downs, maybe the other safeties aren't that type.

Influenced by the Rats pick perhaps?

Feed him and make him an ILB maybe?

from Virginia Tech/247sports.com:
Terrell Edmunds, Tremaine’s older brother, is listed as the No. 73 overall prospect. He is the sixth best safety on the list following Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick (No. 5), Florida State’s Derwin James (No. 6), Alabama’s Ronnie Harrison (No. 34), Wake Forest’s Jessie Bates III (No. 53), and Stanford’s Justin Reid (No. 61).

I fear the Steelers took him specifically to answer the destruction imposed on them by Gronkowski ... who now may be completely irrelevant.

Steelers have Burnett and Davis at S. I guess Edmunds is a nickel back?
