So Spike, given your continuing rampage, I really have to ask this.

I KNEW there was a reason I liked you!

Ben said "I made a bad throw." Who is he placing blame on?

He said I wanted to clock it. I had the guys lined up to clock it and the call came in from the sideline "Don't clock it." Nobody was prepared, I made a signal to Eli, he broke and I made a bad throw.

Just who exactly was he throwing under the bus? It sounds alot like he was throwing BEN under the bus. Kinda like you.

Ah ****!

Are YOU Ben Roethlisberger?

Like spike is saying it should of never been thrown screw a bad pass chuck it into the stands. Him making a point to say i wanted to clock it which is being conservative then to only go all gunslinger and never consider throwing it away works my nerve

We chose to run the fake spike it didnt work..we loss. Simple. I wanted to clock it is totally different especially given that you then forced a pass when you could of did the equivalent of clocking by throwing it into the stands
Ok, then Tomlin says I wanted to run a play there in his presser and it makes Ben look worse.

Spike, at least through his references to the QB suggests that Roethlisberger is both too stupid and too arrogant to run the offense. I'm looking for him to state that directly rather than continue to make constant backstabs as he does.

You are suggesting that Ben threw somebody under the bus, when the only person he threw under the bus in that presser was himself. As he always does.

Did he make a mistake. Yep. And he owned it. Did the coaches make mistakes? Yep, but they didn't own it. Tomlin didn't point out that he'd failed to come up with 2 or 3 plays for the offense while the James catch was being reviewed. He talked about potential rulings that could happen and how that distracted them.

Well, Ben said, "I was distracted too and I made a bad throw." Tomlin nor Haley said - Well, we really ought to have put in a package that gave us more scoring options regardless of whether we were at the 1 or the 10. Cause I can promise you... DHB aint it. You get down to the 10 or inside you want Bell, James, Ju Ju, Bryant and Rogers. You can't leave Bryant on the bench in that situation.

But I'm not going to beat on him for that. They ****** up. They all did. Eli ran a stupid route. Ju Ju stood there like a ****** statue. DHB was pickin' gum out of his shoes. James was standing in the right flats and just needed to get broad for a chance but he just stood there confused as ****... Ben threw a bad pass. Games over.

Just let it ******' go.

I don't think it makes Ben look bad.

I think it is GREAT to run a play in that situation if you have a play in mind and the personnel to do it. If you don't it's far wiser against the P*ts to kick the FG and live to fight another day. (er quarter).

How does it make him look bad???
He looks like a liar, but mainly you can see him yelling clock it with the spike motion, then he covers his ear holes so he can hear Haley, anyone watching knows they are saying something to him

That's why they needed to have two plays ready coming out of the review, they had one and Ben said if the clock is running after this play we are clocking it, so when Bey was tackled in bounds everyone lined up to clock it.

How does make Ben look like a liar if he says when asked WE decided to run a play. Then at the press conference Tomlin says the same.. yes i was going to clock it at first then we decided to run a play. Simple.

Like lolley said how can you have two plays when you dont know the down and distance of the second play. Not the same as in the middle of the field.

You said, Ben should've said we wanted to run the fake spike:
1: Ben covering his ear holes to hear the play kills that.

I don't know why this is such a big deal, but Tomlin should've had two play calls lined up and none of this would be discussed

Wait what??? At the most it's 10 yards, no timeouts so you're probably not running at all, you're telling me they don't have a play that you can call pretty much anywhere inside the 10. Like a fade to Bryant.

Correct and the QB who makes it known he runs his own plays cant do that???

What are you talking about?? Kills what? Ben chose to run the fake spike. I myself felt like an experienced QB calling hisown plays could of gotten a better play in if he was thinking about running a play from the jump. Not sure why spiking it was even being considered he had time for two plays.

Ben did not choose to run the fake spike. He was going to spike it, told everyone in the huddle before the Bey play that if he's in bounds we are killing it, so everyone is ready for that then last second they call in the run a play, they don't have much time to get everyone on the same page to run a play.

And again why there was more then enough time to run a second play.. and if Ben was thinking that way from the jump he could of gotten a better play in then being reduced to calling the fake spike

They just had 4 minutes of dead time, that's Haley and Tomlins job to be ready for that. The Bey play was called by Haley, they should've been on that and told him and the entire offense to be ready to run another play. That's their responsibility

(0:28): Second-and-goal from the New England 10-yard line: Back in a traditional 11 personnel shotgun set with Le’Veon Bell next to Roethlisberger, the quarterback snaps the ball, drops two steps and has to sidestep the charge by defensive lineman Eric Lee. Heyward-Bey runs a crossing route with enough open space and momentum toward the sidelines to force a Roethlisberger pass. He gets tackled after three yards, just short of the sideline. The Steelers have no timeouts.

(0:21): Third-and-goal from the New England seven-yard line: Roethlisberger immediately starts signaling for a spike. Quickly but calmly, Pittsburgh assembles in formation. Then, Roethlisberger looks to his outside receivers and starts tapping his helmet, clearly signaling a pass play. He snaps the ball and opts for the fake spike anyway, though only one Steelers wideout—Eli Rodgers—runs an actual route. Smith-Schuster and Heyward-Bey stand near the line of scrimmage while Rodgers runs a slant into the end zone. He calls for the ball just as he breaks the plane and Roethlisberger fires into a horde of Patriots. The ball is tipped by Rowe and bearhugged midair by Duron Harmon.

So again tell me why is he even considering a fake spike. And dont say well they only gave him one play during the replay. Ben Rothlisberger has made it known at every opportunity he calls his own plays in the hurry up situations. Now all of a sudden he wasnt capable. He needed help from the sideline to run a second play???

Tom Brady would never have throw that pick, he would have thrown it away instead of trying to shove his swollen ego into that tight a window

or

A brain damaged Ben had a PTSD moment from his motorcycle crash - "the open window, its coming right at me!"

der

oh wait, it was a CONSPIRACY!

nevermind

Of course..
Well then what is their responsibility?

Remember when NE was playing Indy and they went for it in 4th and 2 in their own territory, Belicheck said that was my call, I didn't think we could stop their Offense, the head coaches call, not Bradys
