Jarvis Jones signs with Arizona Cardinals

So long Jar Jar. Now, can we get an actual football player to wear the 95?

Thanks for the memories, Jarvis. Oh, wait! There aren't any.

Deebo had 0.5 more sacks in the second half of last season than Jarvis had in three years.

For a short period of time I though maybe at the right price a depth type contract. NOW I'm saying glad he's gone. Nothing personable and wish him well in his endeavors. Thanks for the memories but now your NOT a STEELERS player so your life's work has begun.

JJ was a bust and the funny part is the majority here knew it before our own FO knew it. That is when my confidence level really dropped with Tombert. I hope they have learned your first round pick has to have BOTH physical ability and production. No more of this huge production numbers but horrible workouts or great physical measurements but no production. WE NEED BOTH in the first round. Later in the draft I understand you won't be getting both but you have to be safe and steady in round one.

I think they got it, Shazier, Dupree, Burns. They all look worthy of a #1

Eh. The writing on the wall was there at UGA too. He has a high motor, but the strength and fundamental skill set isn't there. Could it be his stenosis? Maybe. He does have an awesome bull rush, but the over pursuit doesn't work in the nfl

that condition plus his poor athleticism (shown at the combine / pro day) plus his wrist injury... he just wasn't gonna make it.

No big loss loosing Jones! IMO the kid was a waste of a roster spot. One of the biggest draft busts for the Steelers because he took up a friggin roster spot for 4 years all the while James Harrison took a back seat to this bum! Id take a 50 year old James Harrison over Jarvis Jones!

james harrison would kick chuck norris' ***

I'm glad he is gone. He had no fire in his belly. He only went through the motions. Now we can get someone new at that spot to share time with Harrison.

I disagree there. I think he played very hard and cared I just think he did not have "IT". I don't blame Jarvis he played his heart out. I blame the FO for being too enamored with production in college ignoring all the missing attributes other than heart.

Good luck in the desert! It wasn't Jarvis Jones fault he had fringe level NFL talent. Blame the Steelers for drafting a weak, slow and injury prone guy in round one!

If Jarvis plays every game for the Cardinals, will that earn us a decent comp pick in next years draft?
That may be his best contribution to the Steelers.

exactly! his best play for us may be yet to come.

Good luck to him. I suspect he will continue to get manhandled and be ineffective in Phoenix.

Thank you Phoenix for taking him away. May he find his place on our all time draft busts lists.

I think Jarvis could have a decent season for them...

Sometimes a change of scenery does wonders...

Either way---I hope we get at least a 4th round comp for him..

THREE sacks would be a break out season............for him. Now as you've stated, it's all about the comp pick.

Maybe our system just sucks anymore...Rules have changed...Our system hasn't .....

Interesting. I would have thought the Steelers would have paid him that much. Clearly, they were completely uninterested.
