Will Ben get to another lwoB repuS?

Let's not confuse a ****** Baltimore offense with a good Steeler defense. We'll see how good this defense is next week.

Next week I fully expect to kick the living **** out of the Cowboys. This game had me worried good teams don't scare me.

**** he could still win one this year. Offense looked bad for most of the game but the defense looked damn good for most of the game. If he gets his **** together there is still a good chance this team can be up there.

Our great coach is looking at 3 out of the last 5 seasons without a winning record. Just try that hat on.

Someone often says, "But who would you rather have coaching?"

Let's see, Hoodie, by light years.

Harbaugh - beats us all the time with less talent.

Mike McCarthy. Pete Carroll. Doug Petersen. Dan Quinn. Jack Del Rio. Jeff Fisher. Jay Cruden. Gary Kubiak. Mike Zimmer. Bruce Arians. And on and on.

Without a doubt Ben will win 1-2 more. We absolutely need a lot better coaching and better game plans. Be able to adapt&overcome come if **** isn't working. The logic of running into 8 man fronts all game was stupid. Just as stupid as Ben always trying to push the ball to Brown when the guy was double and triple covered.

OK, Ben will win 1 - 2 more but we need better coaching and better game plans. You made my point. The coaching isn't going to change since the Rooney's won't fire Tomlin. Bottom line - the window has closed.

Zero chance as long as the current coach is employed

Absolutely will not under this coach. No more excuses for Tomlin. These are now his players that he has had a large part in drafting and bringing in as F/A's with the exception of just a few like Ben and Harrison. Now the onus falls squarely on one mans shoulders as it should and that's Tomlin. Just like when in his 2'nd year as HC they won a SB he was hailed as the next great coach, now you have to take the responsibility and ownership that comes with under performing. These players that you all talk about that under perform, take stupid penalties, drop passes, play out of position, missed blocks, missed tackles and so on. Guess what? He's had a hand in bringing these guys in here and they are your version of the Pittsburgh Steelers 2016. These coaches are his coaches that he's hired so if there are deficiencies then look at the man who brought them in here. Adjustments that are not made, silly challenges, being overall outcoached, that all falls on the HC whomever that may be, and in this case it points to one man, Tomlin. Its time this man was made to accept responsibility and ownership for the poor product he puts on the field and stop making excuses. The man is full of himself and therefore its transcended down to his players who think they can just show up and it guarantees a win. Just like in Philly, Miami and now Baltimore and in many previous seasons. In any other NFL city this guy is on the hot seat except here. To me that's sets the table for low expectations when the HC is not made accountable because business will be carried on as usual. Right Mike, the standard is the standard!

You apologists keep making excuses for him and keep putting all the blame and responsibility on the players, but I'll tell you this, forget about another SB as long as he's the HC here.

So I guess all of the procedure and holding penalties are Tomlin's fault and not Munchaks.

One small problem out of many. Each unit takes blame, players and coaches, but for the overall failing trend?

guess whoooooooooo

Listen, I like Mike Tomlin as a person a lot. And I wish he was as good a coach as he is a cool guy. But, I watch plenty of other teams play other games week in and week out and what I see with the Steelers under Tomlin that I don't see with other teams is this phenomena where in 4 or 5 games a year against bad teams, this other team shows up that looks nothing like the team that they normally are. Most other teams beat the teams that they are better than and lose to the teams that they are outmanned by. We regularly lose to inferior teams. I think more than any other team in the league. Yesterday, we clearly should have abandoned the offensive game plan that wasn't working and let Ben be Ben. There is no doubt we would have won.

Tomlin is not going to be fired unless we miss the playoffs probably twice in a row. The problem is that he is not a BAD coach, he's a MEDIOCRE coach and mediocre coaches usually deliver mediocre teams, even when the talent is there to be great. In order for us to actually get to a lowB repuS, we need to either win enough regular season on the road to ensure we have a home playoff game or two, or we have to win on the road in the playoffs. Neither, we seem to be able to do under Mike T. This team given the talent (and Ben missing 1 game) should finish no worse that 12-4. I don't see us running the table, but let's hope for the best...

#WelcomeToTheTrendHi

Maybe we should trade Tomlin/Ben to GB for McCarthy/Rodgers. Same combination of coach/franchise QB-same results.

I would still take it.

It's incredible how people can't see the forest for the trees. Like this is Tomlin's 2nd year coaching the team or something.

painfully short sighted I am afraid

You would probably take anything to be rid of Tomlin. Have to wonder why there is that much hate.

Hate is a strong word, dislike is more appropriate.

Have a whole discussion thread on why I feel Tomlin is ready for the axe.

But you tell me genius, why do you think I hate him?

this should be worth the wait in gold..
