Very early Sean Davis impressions.

Holy **** is it May?? Should I post a mock draft?? Are we still doing that cool simulator???

It wasn't a mock draft. It was my opinion on Steeler draft picks and who I would have preferred.

I never say I don't think so and so will pan out. I give details and reasons as to why. Most of you don't watch the films, or simply can't stand the stats or football reasons used. I get it.

I'd like to see Davis become and All-Pro and win the super bowl.

thanks for the laughter, it is a slow day at the office

We know it was your Opinion you've been posting it since May..how many times can you post it?? How many times can you post the same thing over and over and over..we get it you don't like Burns Davis and Ayers is slow. We got it.

So all the others picks that have worked out how did you have those picks Coach. I mean you patting your back for the guys you said would suck. But what about the guys who have worked out and are major contributors..where did you have them??

Thanks. Yes, I loved the Decastro, and Wheaton picks. I was on board with Heyward mostly because I felt Hood was a bust. Heyward I thought would be solid. He's proven better!

I liked Worilds but felt Sean Lee would have been a better pick.

Does that help?

I also felt Lacy would better than Bell. That is debatable right now. Bell surprised me a lot by losing 20+ pounds and becoming much quicker than he was in college. Then again he's been injured and has issues with drugs.

PS: I think Golson is a slot only corner and didn't like that pick. I wanted Rollins that year. We'll see if Golson can ball or not.

I think Golson looks like a nickle CB only But he also played with a very strong attitude that can help him outside. He might surprise us all

No it doesn't help cause after the draft is over no one gives two flying *****. The issue is you harp on the ones they blew FOREVER.. You never talk about the good ones EVER.. so we have to hear you talk about it what you would of done over and over again..we have to hear you root against a guy forever because your ego is too big to let it go.

Lambert wasn't 220 pounds coming into camp as a rookie. He was a skinny 6'4" 200-pound kid. So maybe that had something to do with not doing well in that particular drill where weight means a lot? I think so!

But Jack was a hit right out of the gate. He won Lambert Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. Let's be real, Davis won't sniff that type of accolade as a rookie.

No he wasn't. At first they didn't know where to play him. They had him outside as well as inside in his first camp. The truth is he doesn't start unless Henry Davis gets hurt. Now, once he got the job he was great. No argument there, but to say right out of the gate?

Also, I made the point that I was not comparing Davis to Lambert. And what do you do? Compare Davis to Lambert, for **** sake. I was using Lambert to illustrate the point that all rookies struggle, especially early, even the great ones.

From what I read, you will be working the farms soon and be plenty busy!

j/k. Hope you aren't getting ****** by the situation.

oh you saw that report? crazy right? I feel like we are becoming communist vietnam and no one is doing anything about it. In other news it seems like the government is giving more and more power to the military, so I guess the current president is thinking of making a run and leaving the shitstorm to the green, like negotiating his exit.

I also suffer from repetition. The reason I do it is because I am passionate about some of my opinions and want to make sure they are known so, if they come true, there is no doubt what my position is.

Conversely, there is also no doubt if I am wrong about predictions.

I don't mind Coach re-assessing his opinions. It doesn't hurt anything. You can always not read them.

I get it, but after just three practices?

You might be better off skipping my posts. You're too thinned skinned and ill-equipped to talk football context. By replying back, you only keep my thread on the top of the page.

Now your putting words into my mouth. I root against Steelers to prove I'm right? More like this team has tremendous potential, but our decision makers to to paraphrase what Rooney have said at DB have not been good.

If you can't even acknowledge that Lambert was very light as a rookie and that had something to do with an Oklahoma drill, we are not getting far.

Who is to say Lambert would not beat Henry Davis out as a rookie?

Are you saying Lambert was struggling in camp, and suddenly became great once the season started? Didn't the Steelers spend a 2nd round pick on an ILB? This suggests they wanted to upgrade the spot over Davis.

I wasn't watching back then, but somehow I think Lambert did some impressive things in camp to keep the job.

You might not root against the Steelers but you surely seem to root against a pick you did not like. I have not seen enough information about Davis coming out of camp to make any kind of impression of the kid at all and unless you were there you have not either. This just comes across as spiteful speculation.

On the other hand the amount of threads you start and the under informed opinions you give is plenty of information to support an impression that you can be an attention *****, along with your buddy POP. I might have disagreed with TMC on his opinions I did not question his research into things.

I said you root against the player which I'm sure you know..and please Coach please spare me the you think you know more football then me Narrative.. you don't. Anybody who based Troy Head being too big as to why he wasn't going to be a good player doesn't have the right to act holier then though when it comes to football knowledge.

I liked the Davis pick over the Burns pick. 1. Davis wasn't our first round pick. 2. Davis is a FREAK athlete. 3. He's smart, speaks 3 languages.

I don't expect him to start this year but I feel by the end of the season he should be pressing for playing time. I feel Golden and Shark start with Golden playing the majority of snaps. Shark coming in on more base defense or goal line packages when they want a safety to help run support and Golden to play on passing situations.

I havent read one word in this thread- but I know EXACTLY how it is playing out:

1.) Coach is making a wild and premature claim that a player is a bust already

2.) POP agree's with him

Actually, you didn't quite guess right. Coach merely gave the first reports on Davis, didn't conclude a single thing. Made it obvious that these were only the initial reports and he merely relayed them to us. And, yes, the initial reports were that Davis got toasted trying to cover a 7th-round rookie and a no name guy who won't make an NFL roster. But it is what it is: just the early results of his play. Since he will be playing safety, and shouldn't be trying to cover WRs much (other than maybe offering some deep help to CBs, him being toasted by WRs might not be the end of the world.

I root against no Steeler on game day. What's the point of being a fan if you do?

But hey, you claim to know what I think. Simply floored...

Weird I'm not the only person who came to this conclusion..
