Well, I guess the Mike Adams experiment is over

I understood the value when we drafted him but knew his ceiling was a RT in the NFL. Devon Still ate his lunch when they played against each other and he's out of the NFL so that just goes to show you. I remember this was back when I gave the Steelers FO the benefit of the doubt when drafting guys so I figured even though he wasn't overly impressive besides size and got caught smoking the weed at the combine we must know what we are doing. Well, two year too late but better late than never. Hopefully we will cut JJ during the camp cuts to show no one is safe and you better bring your A game.

what a dissapointment he was, I expected him to at least be insurance for the RT position but not even that
 
Was glad they gave him a chance. Thought he could be worth that pick. Too bad he wasn't.
 
2012 was a pretty bad draft year for us, Adams busts in the 2nd, Spence got hurt and never developed leading to drafting Shazier, Ta'amu, well we won't go there, Rainey, naw won't go there either.

But hey we did get DeCastro in 12'!!
 
To call Mike Adams a failure is myopic. He was seriously injured last year, sat on the IR, and failed the physical this year. He probably wasn't going to play this year. He may be out of football for good, I only hope he can live the rest of his life without back pain.

Get well Mr Adams, I'm sorry it didn't work out.
 
Draft misses happen, Pats Dominique Easley cut, Ravens Elam bust. I don't think Adams fully recovered from the stabbing incident at least as far as gaining his full strength back, along with other injuries.

i'm surprised at this. does he have his HOF bust removed now (since that's a gimme for all Big-10 guys)?

I called him a dissapointment, which is different.
 
I have never seen one poster be worshiped and idolized on a board the way TMC is on here. The guy is a good talent evaluator for sure. He also doesn't even post here, and it makes you sound like a total ***** when you randomly bring his name up to remind everyone that he was right about something years ago. Who cares?

Let's see...

Rookie year was atrocious - agreed.
He was stabbed in the offseason - never really recover from that if you ask me.
Out of last year due a back injury - the Rooney's show "grace and mercy" due to an injury???

He played "when he could", but, that "play" was, "obviously" "below the line"...

He would of been given a chance this season but he failed his physical.
