The Steelers consider Boykin as a slot CB only. He was never in consideration for a starting job as an outside CB. If Blake is benched, it would be Cockrell taking his place as a "starter".
It was removed as the article was from the "site that shall remain nameless".

It's smart coaching obviously, to rest Boykin for the last 2 games of the season, so he is fresh for the playoffs.
GENIUS!!!
See, THIS is the kind of crap that irritates the living crap out of most of us Tomlin "haters". He's proven he CAN do a great job, so why is he so damn stubborn with crap like this? There is ZERO reason, barring injury, for Blake to ever see the field again. Anybody with half a brain can see the defense plays MUCH better without him.
blake has a pick6 this year!

Not the official link... but some quotes from his presser.
Ego first, team second. That's pretty much all you need to know about Mike Tomlin. He couldn't care less that Blake's stats show he's the second worst CB in the league. He couldn't care less that the team gave up 27 points in the first half until he finally ended his asinine "rotation" and pulled Blake. He couldn't care less that Blake has been pulled in 2 of the last 3 games. Mike Tomlin believes that he's bigger than the team and unfortunately the only people who can prove he isn't (the Rooneys) sit idly by.
