Tomlin to start Blake over Boykin against Ravens

"Actions, speak louder than words"

Boykin gets the majority of snaps.. nothing else matters.

Well, if the majority is say 60/40, or even 70/30, it still exposes Blake too much, IMO.

For every snap Blake is on the field, with Boykin on the sideline, the defense is worse off.

I didn't say fumbles. I wouldn't know about the short armed passes because I can't keep up with it and have no stats on it. I'm just giving a possible reason based on what I've seen.

For those that say Tomlin doesn't have to say anything that is true. But why say something stupid when a simple "We feel Blake gives us the best chance to win" quote is fine. Obviously he cares about what people are talking about and saying about the team. Nobody would say stupid **** like that if they didn't care. It isn't being a leader. It's being a smartass who is allowing the talk to get to him. He should stop caring and just say something simple and to the point.

I know you did not directly allude to fumbles, but it is somewhat implied when you're referring to a player's physicality leading to scaring receivers and jarring balls loose.

As for your second point, you're exactly right. Tomlin would not have given this overly convoluted, somewhat incoherent rant if the criticism pertaining to Blake was not getting to him.

I just don't understand why people care so much about what he says..
He doesn't have to explain a damn thing to anyone. He likes to keep things in house, obviously.

Sure, it would be informative if he gave a pure, straight forward explanation for everything but he never has, never will. Get over it.
If we were 5-9 and about to miss the playoffs then maybe this would bother me but what happens on the field is all that matters to me and lately, Boykin has been getting the snaps.

I really don't care what Tomlin says (or doesn't say). You'll rarely find any head coach who gives a straight answer, and when players give honest responses, the media usually have a field day with it.

I just found it quite amusing that what I was reading was what Tomlin actually said, instead of what I initially thought it was -- a parody, making fun of his relentless insistence to try and sound smarter than he actually is.

That's why I come here...to be entertained. In one way or another.

I think the Blake/ Willie Gay comparison is very fair. People including myself wanted Willie run out of town. And it is good that Coach isn't as reactionary as the fan base. No coach should be. However, it is important to remember that the improvement Willie Gay made was over the course of seasons. When he was playing like hot garbage he needed to be sat as Antwon Blake should be now.
