So much for this potent offense we were supposed to have....

Got us to 3 super bowls. We won 2. We would have won the third if not for a ****** OL.The guy will go in the HOF. This team will win another super bowl while he is here. Some of you are about as brilliant as a monkey trying to **** a football.

I apologize for not having a man crush on the ******* guy like some of you nuthuggers around here... The ******* guy struggled to put the ball in the endzone. I'm not just talking about yesterday, I'm talking his whole career. We won 2 Super Bowls because we had a defense that gave up 15 points a game. The defense hasn't been dominant for a while now and we haven't sniffed a Super Bowl since they fell off. We lose several games a year to bad ******* teams with bad quarterbacks, but all that gets ignored by the jackasses around here that are in love with the guy. He's a good QB... He ain't great. His stats last year were completely skewed by the two 6 touchdown games, which were anomalies. I ain't no ******* troll... I've been a diehard Steeler fan for 38 years... But I also ain't one of these fans that can't be objective when it comes to my team.

3 SBs with him now look after Terry left and tell me how many SBs the Steelers went in-between?

Tomlin has never been under .500 would that hold true without Ben?

You might not be a troll but your viewpoint is looking like you are writing it in crayon....

Your right,... You got me... The Steelers offense has been prolific since Roethlisberger has been here. They have always been one of the top scoring teams in the league during his tenure with the team. He does throw over 30 touchdowns every year and sometimes it's been over 40. They've never finised outside the top ten teams in points scored for the season. If I'm so stupid, go look at the numbers for his career as compared to the top tier QB's that have played during his time in the pros. He's a good QB. Would I take him over most of the others playing now? Of course... But you can't deny that his offenses have always struggled to score. Take off the rose colored glasses, quit slobbering over your Big Ben Fathead that I'm sure you and many others around here have hanging in your rooms, and try to watch the game objectively ... if you're able.

oh I watch objectively

I sort of partial to SB wins, silly me.

I could give a **** less how many points they score as long as it is enough for a W.

There is very few active QBs that has been to 3 SBs,.winning two.

So I will continue slobbering over my Big Ben fathead, while you continue foaming at the mouth for not winning your fantasy league trophy.

Ok. Wanna look at Roethlisberger's completion percentage over his career? He's among the best ever to play the game, not just the best in the last 10 years.

How bout yards per attempt. (Not completion, attempt...) He's among the best EVER. We're going back to guys who wore leather helmets... Brady can't TOUCH Ben's yards per attempt. He wouldn't TRY.

Win percentage? Guess what? He's pretty damn good there too.

Now what exactly was your argument, cause I've pretty much lost the point of whatever you were trying to say. Especially considering the last couple years he's been getting better and better. That's not surprising given the stupid *** rules the league has been enforcing lately to help QB's but he was kicking the **** out the stats even before that.

And he's done all his work without an earpiece giving him the defensive plays every down. Tom can't say that. I mean he could, but he destroyed his phone.

Agreed. The play-calling was practically comical. They throw outside and deep all game without success, then with the clock as the enemy at the end, they dink-and-dunk down the middle of the field, and run out of time. It's kind of funny, but it isn't.

Don't forget now that was Tomlin's excuse for saving the timeouts and not using them before the 2 minute warning...

So they "executed" the game plan to perfection right up until the clock read 0:00 at the end of the game!!!

:hopelessness:

Doesn't take the Ben-haters long to come out of the woodwork, does it?

So if Ben sucks so bad who you gonna replace him with? RG3? Yeah i remember all the morons who thought we should trade up for that train wreck. Same crowd who thought we should trade Ben when we drafted Landry freaking Jones for ***** sake! "OOHHHHH I SOOOO WISH WE HAD A MIKE VICK LIKE PLAYER" yep, we all saw how that worked out.

Once Ben is finally done and awaiting the call from the hall, all of you who don't remember the years between Brad and Ben will be in for a rude awakening. Oh but then again I'm sure your fair-weather pansy-***** will be on to a different team then too.

This guy is a recarnation of an old poster. Not sure which on though.

Give me the ban hammer back for a day and I promise I'll clean the pondscum out and return our pool back to the clear clean sparkling waters of yore

My point was that his offense has always struggled to score touchdowns. Man, if only at the end of the game they put the "W" next to the team who's quarterback had the best yards per completion. Unfortunately they don't... they put it next to the team who's quarterback leads his team to score more touchdowns. I guess the next time Brady whips our *** because he threw 4 TD passes and Ben throws 1, we can all say... " Yeah, they might have beaten us by 20 points, but we had a higher yards per completion AND completion percentage than they did..." This might be the stupidest argument I've heard yet.

I'm partial to Super Bowls wins myself. That's why it was pissed off the last few times we missed the playoffs, which you can't do if you're planning on going to the Super Bowl, because we lost to garbage teams like the Browns, Raiders, Jets, etc. because we couldn't ******* out score teams with QB's like Geno Smith, Terell Pryor, and Brian Hoyer. Could you see Rodgers or Brady or Brees in his prime losing to one of these ******' bums? Our guy lost to all three.

I was going to...but just as I was reaching for it Ben picked it up and heaved it into double coverage and it was intercepted by the Bengals. There was another one laying there, but again just as I was reaching for it Ben picked it up, threw it ten feet over Antonio Brown's head, and it was intercepted by the Bengals too.

Ben had the lowest passer rating to ever win a super bowl. The defense won that game. (To be fair Ben had a very good playoffs up till the SB). In the second SB we won Ben played pretty well and created one of the greatest SB finishes. If it was not for an amazing play by Harrison though we probably would have been out of that game. The 3rd SB he had a pick 6 (not really his fault), but he did not play well most of the game. His playoff games have also been mediocre except for one year. I am not a Ben hater, but people have to be realistic and objective on here. As people always point out with Manning stats do not matter (unless we are talking about Ben I guess), its how many points / Ws you put up. We have been lacking in both areas lately (especially in important wins).

How old are you? Twelve? They really should have a minimum age requirement around here.

Is Ben above reproach ? Is there an unwritten law that makes him above criticism ?.....coaches, players not named Roethlisberger are fair game but Ben is excused ?

Someone with more knowledge please let me know when he IS not above reproach

After a 4 week layoff any QB would have issues. Some of y'all need to learn to manage your expectations.

there is no debating the fact that the steelers have sucked in converting touchdowns in the red zone. and this has been over an extended period. A good bit of that falls on the QB. Not a shot, just true
