we have cap room, trade for a starting safety. We can't just piss away one of Big Ben's final years because of lack of talent on the roster

I'm somewhat surprised with the Fogg cut. I thought he played pretty well this pre-season and had a good camp. Probably practice squad.

Sometimes the players cut first are the ones a team likes the most.

Sounds strange, but they can be trying to make other teams think those players' abilities are marginal (and cutting them was easy).

That could be what's going on with Fogg and Jones.
 
Roosevelt Nix is being congratulated by teammates and walking around the locker room smiling nothing official but he maybe on the team..

Ya know, I've had this funny feeling all week that they would cut ties with Archer. The guy hasn't shown anything on kickoff, punts, running, nothing. Why give a roster spot to a guy who Haley is having trouble get on the field? I think keeping Rosie Nix and Will Johnson makes better sense and ditch the little guy.
 
They better not Cut Archer how will I win my argument with the Archer Haters

Well, to be fair...

HoJo, IMO, knows how to find the QB. I'm not saying he's starting material; but, I would have like to see what he did against the 1's...

This is just blind faith, and there's no tape to justify it at all. Last preseason he became a hero by scooping up two fumbles which were forced by someone else. Basically luck. This year I'm still waiting for a camp report that said he was consistently beating our awful 2nd and 3rd team O-lines. And again he put nothing on tape in the preseason that says he's a legitimate NFL player...
 
welp yet again cutting the developmental playmakers..keeping worthless vets... Tomlin is no Cowher, that is for sure
