Steelers traded a 2016 1st-round pick, Jarvis -jiving-Jones, Shamwow Thomas,Landry Jones,Dri-ed up Archer and a pack of Gummy Bears, Twinkies, Juicy Fruits, HoHo's, and a unopened-still sealed-box of Jerome Bettis cereal to Seattle for safety Kam Chancellor

All good Tibs! Sure I'd like to have Chancellor too and am very surprised they would consider moving this guy as well. I think though they will want something significant if a trade is proposed. Most likely a couple premium picks or a couple very good players in return. His price tag on a trade will be expensive that's for sure. I still think they may still re-sign this guy.

I'm not trying to pick at you Steelz. I think the Seahawks may still be trying to get him signed but if they do indeed go with the trade, I'm thinking maybe a 1'st in 2016 and a 2'nd in 2017. I don't know how I'd feel about giving up a 2'd rounder in 2016.The other part of the trade sending Thomas, hell yes but that 2'nd rounder. Man that would leave us with no 2'nd, 4'th and 6'th pick in 2016. I mean I wouldn't be disappointed to get Chancellor who as you say is a very good and proven safety but that 2'nd round pick worries me. Only because we need so much more on this defense and now we'd be minus three picks. I'd be shocked if they pulled the trigger.

I'm pretty sure Shamarko is not tall enough to ride the Legion of Boom ride.
 
I think he is worth a first rounder. He is young and proven. I doubt we would get a better safety in the first round unless we really stink and get a top 10 pick. It would still be a crap shoot. The only downside is his price tag. I think Sham will be serviceable at best, and the other safety is not good either.

I'm betting we are one of those teams after seeing our safety play in the preseason. It'll all depend how much they want for him. I'm sure it'll be strictly draft picks.

Wow! This would be so un-Steeler -like but I guess as was pointed out, if they took a 2'nd for him and maybe a 3'rd the following year and we can sign him long term which we have to be able to do then yes, he's better than what we would draft at #2 next year. I just wonder if we could sign him. What kind of contract is he looking for? You obviously want him happy here and not having an attitude about his deal. I still think this is the type of bold move that the Steelers wouldn't make. The Giants perhaps but can't see us doing that. He would most undoubtedly be a vast upgrade over the two slugs we have. I hope the hell Mitchell starts producing. 5 years 25 million for him and he's done nothing.
 
I doubt anyone would give a first and a second for kam, he is very good but he ain't no polamalu. Really interested in how this news develop, the Steelers do have a chace to take him, being a long time that the team isn't in cap hell

I doubt they would be interested in any of those players lol, the first round pick would be the only enticement there, though it's a hell of an enticement
 
With the way the Steelers defense has been playing, I wouldn't trade away next year's first round pick for anyone, it'll likely be a high one.
