Judgement Day "Shady Brady" vs. Roger - OFFICIAL THREAD

Tom is ******. The only way he was getting his suspension reduced, was to turn over his cell phone. What does he do? He destroys it. If he want's a court injunction, he'd need evidence that exonerates him, since he's being suspended for not being cooperative in an investigation. This goes beyond being able to ***** foot around the findings, or attacking current rules as written. This ruling is cut and dry. He didn't help in any way, and he destroyed his cell phone before he could be forced to turn it it. This was always a muddying of the waters campaign to keep Brady's image intact. Now, it's clear why he is being suspended, and why it's all on him that he is out for a month.

The NFL being proactive in court is interesting, because it explains why it took so long to get this ruling set. They wanted their ducks in a row for a preemptive strike, to throw Brady's team off balance. This is the first thing I've seen Goodell get right when it comes to player discipline and out maneuvering the posturing of the offending party's defense. It will be interesting (since the NFL called the suit), if they use a court room to subpoena Brady's phone records and texts directly from his carrier (which is possible in a court of law). They just put Brady's thumbs to the screws here, and I can't see him pushing this, because the contrary is Brady goes scorched earth and takes everyone down with him (if his texts are taken directly). There's no middle ground left, and there's no win for Brady. I am also sure that the NFL will drop the suit as soon as Brady accepts the suspension. Which he will, but it may take a month for him to do so.

Tainted SBs, each and everyone of them.

Oh, and there's no way he issues an apology or takes responsibility. He's a cheat, and will go down as one.

oh my

Hate Stephen A. if you want, but sometimes he has good sources. I found the part in bold to be rather eye opeining.

http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports...-brady-will-end-up-serving-4-game-suspension/

“I don’t blame anybody for shaking their head,” he said. “I was shaking my head when a couple of my sources told me that. But that’s what they said. And that’s why I went on the air and said what I said today. You got Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, those guys are intimately involved in covering the NFL and they do an exceptional job of doing so. … I heard what I heard and I made sure I called ESPN and said, ‘Look, this is what I’m hearing. This is what I am being told. And I was told this at 9:30 this morning.’ So I’m just sharing it with the public. That’s what they said about the suspension. They also said that they felt Tom Brady was uncooperative. They also said not only that they lean on what Ted Wells said, ‘We weren’t even looking at your cell phone, just show us text messages and emails pertinent to the Deflategate matter,’ and [Brady’s camp] refused, but they also said said they are of the belief that Tom Brady destroyed his cell phone.
“I’ll tell you something else too, one of the other things they talked about was the New England Patriots [as an organization]. They said that Robert Kraft obviously did what was in the best interest of the league because as an owner, you’ve got to do that. You sign on to be a part of the league. It’s one part of your business where you are competing against those owners on the field, but in that board room at those negotiating tables, you guys are teammates, you’re on the same side. There comes a point where you as an owner do what’s in the best interest of the league.
“It’s not in the best interest of the league if Bill Belichick ended up being suspended, it’s not in the best interest of the league if Bill Belichick ended up being banned. And what was alluded to me this morning yet again was when they talked about how he had the Spygate incident in 2007 and as a result of that, you couldn’t have anything [with] Bill Belichick because the language in the Spygate ruling called for banishment from the league, if indeed it was found something deceivingly similar to happen again with Bill Belichick. So it was in the best interest of Mr. Kraft and the New England Patriots to take the penalty handed down by Roger Goodell.”
Even with what he’s heard from the league, Smith doesn’t think Brady should be suspended the same amount of games as Greg Hardy (four games).
“For me personally, I’ve been on the record the second that Greg Hardy’s suspension was reduced from 10 games to four games, I said you cannot do that to Tom Brady. He does not deserve the same severity of a penalty as Greg Hardy. It’s two completely different things, but still domestic violence is domestic violence. It’s far more heinous. I don’t give a damn if Tom Brady was throwing nerf footballs. As far as I am concerned, he shellacked theIndianapolis Colts, he went in the Super Bowl and handled his business and deserves all the credit in the world for that.

Oh, I still expect Brady to TRY to get an injunction so he can attempt to serve the suspension during a soft-spot in the schedule.

Cause that's how those cheating S.O.B.s roll.

Oh, and there's no way he issues an apology or takes responsibility. He's a cheat, and will go down as one.

Yep, reminds me of ******** like Armstrong and Braun. Yell, scream, cry and deny, deny, deny.

Heard on the radio a prosecuting attorney in Louisiana call in and said he just finished trying a case in which a woman texted a hit man back and forth. They both destroyed their phones but the prosecution was easily able to recover the messages.

Here is where it gets interesting he said that Ted Wells did not have subpoena power but a Judge would.

If Brady took this to court then the phone records would be subpoenaed and that if there was anything in all those texts....over 10,000 of them.....that implicated or showed that Bill Belichck was involved or had any knowledge of the situation, contradicting what he has already said publicly that Belichick would likely be banned for life as he would be in violation of his Spygate punishment which included lifetime ban language if he ever crossed the line again.

BOOM.

They are not going to court........NFL Called the ******* bluff

I'd love for the phone destroying part to be true. That would damn him forever. But even if it is true, I'm sure they (Brady's camp and the league) will find a way to bury that info in an effort to have him keep his rep intact for the hall of fame.

destroying the phone does not get rid of the evidence ...

The destruction of the cell phone is the smoking gun. Not of his guilt in the deflation, but of his lack of cooperation in the investigation and will turn any public support outside of Boston against him. I think an injunction might be a bit of a stretch and the league fired a preemptive strike filing a check of the legality of the suspension in federal court. As much as I hate Roger, I read the entire document and it is very thorough. It refutes nearly ever "media" conclusion made in Brady's favor. While I cannot refute all of Tom Brady's accomplishments, I can certainty highly question the largest ones. He is not a four time Super Bowl winner in my mind. The pundents can say what they want, they can even elect him to the hall. There is an Astrix next to every one of his most major triumphs.

I cannot WAIT to watch First Take tomorrow and see Skip's head explode. This will be golden.

My responses to some of the P*ts trolls. This one in regards to T*'ms destroying his phone not really being an admission of guilt because this is America, not Nazi Germany and citizens shouldn't be forced to turn over their private phones for just anybody to look through their data.

They didn't ask him for his personal phone. They asked HIM to hand select messages with his OWN legal team that pertained to the investigation, print those messages or phone transcripts out and provide them. Tom had COMPLETE control over what was provided. He freaked out, refused to cooperate and then destroyed his phone. Nobody was threatening to "Take his phone". How quickly people try to twist things. This was ENTIRELY on Brady. The Patriots cheated and then they tried to cover it up. It's not complicated and you know it.

And another one... P*t's troll whines..

"BUM rap.
Still ZERO evidence.
"

And I reply,
That's what happens when you dispose of the body...

"Bro, smash your phone and they'll never find anything." -- Aaron Hernandez

This from the P*ts organization.

Most would agree that the penalties levied originally were excessive and unprecedented, especially in light of the fact that the league has no hard evidence of wrongdoing.

Some jokes just write themselves...

Jimmy Garappolo!

ha ha

suck it Pats lovers trolls...we know who you are

can I get an Amen?

Reading pats forums honestly makes you wonder how stupid humans are

Wow, I alluded the fact the Bellicheat was complicit. This is a whole new story if this unravels any farther. I'm sure Sean Peyton and the Saints would be happy with a Bellicheat ban!

I am slightly happy that the league took a hard line approach, but he is absolutely playing game 1. The pats will be in full out cheat mode too... better order a bug sweep of the sidelines and locker room. They will be trying to show up the league now.... I hope this ends with that franchise utterly dismantled.

Well, you see, poor wittle tommy cant have his way and he is such a special boy... he should be allowed to cheat cause everyone cheats, just look at the rest of the Patriots, they cheat all the time and no one has ever busted them too badly before... I mean past precedent states that the league has to destroy the evidence for him, right?... oh wait he is innocent... that text was about losing weight and he always destroys his cell phones like that....
