Would You Welcome Back Rodgers Again?

Where does the non-existent first quarter offence and fourth quarter defence fit into this theory?
I’m not saying Tomlin is blameless. I’m saying that maybe he saw the issues outside of his own flaws and wanted to make a change. It’s possible. I know it’s easier to believe anything else. Still, I think the non-losing seasons thing is more Art than Mike.

I don't get that sense with how Tomlin coached since 2020--not to lose.

Glazer also mentioned that Tomlin first thought about stepping away two years ago. I have to question if that's true and how long the Steelers knew Tomlin was near the end.

no his mobility to throw on the run or roll out is gone, he can barely step up and throw, if he all pro OT and a consisent Lg he may do better but that's not going to change. I see a 3rd rnd pick swing OT coming to compete vs Jones and maybe a tier A OG to replace Isaac.
I am saying Kyler murray could be a strong 3-4 year option, but for a 5th or 6th and restructured deal maybe Mike and the coaches he brought can install the same type of rpo O like Baltimore philly has and even dak has and see so get him for not much and full competition vs Howard, and you draft a mid rnd guy asa developmental like

After the beating Aaron took in the Houston Texan game I wonder if he would want to come back. I hope the new O line coach improves the blocking schemes.

A #2 & #3 WR, a RB that offers power, a LT/LG to strengthen the OL.

An OC that understands the roster order of Friermuth over Jonnu Smith.

A HC that runs QB friendly schemes.

A rookie/1st year QB to learn under him.

I think Rodgers is perfectly fine in that situation.

Rebuild? Not necessarily. There are SO many good pieces already on the roster. And a ton of cap space. And 12 draft picks.

You really don't think the Steelers couldn't put together a SB winning squad after watching Sam Darnold win a SB?

Possibly. They will more importantly need to coach and develop and bring a fresh schematic approach on both sides of the ball.

If I'm a DC, I'm pretty excited to field Watt, Highsmith, Queen, Porter, Ramsey, Heyward, Benton , Harmon, Samuel Jnr, Herbig.... that's some significant pieces that you can use. A FA, some draft capitol...

Then you just need that O to be balanced. Kaleb Johnson is an important piece (or a rookie RB). I think Warren & Johnson gives a good versatility & allows the Steelers to get REGULAR yardage on early downs.

Loved what Gainwell did. But it's too much same-same. Give me a masher between the tackles to change the dynamic.

We've been watching them try since 2008

Some of them yes. Not all of them. I don't see Pickett ever being more than a bench warmer along with a few others.

It’s a little different looking at the early guys (Darnold/Mayfield) that went to very bad teams like the Jets/Stains. These guys simply couldn’t be franchise saviors but are damn fine QBs for teams that aren’t a complete dumpster fire. They just needed a few years and some talent, something many QBs require.

And you’re right about KFP. There ain’t enough turd polish in the entire league to shine him up. He was simply over drafted by a desperate mediocre team.

He should try to sign with the Rams or 49's to see if he can be developed. But I don't either. I honestly don't even see him as a legit QB2.
