Look, I am cool with 4 games... a standard steroid suspension is 4 and while he was on the team for spygate, this is his first personal suspension...

I don't know. It seems tampering with footballs after the refs inspected them has nothing to compare to drugs use in my opinion. Especially if this has been going on for a long time frame. The Pats**** scored another trophy. So what ever their punishment is it will be we worth it. I think every team out there would take what they got(Pats**** punishment) for a trophy. A slap on the wrist really.
 
Here's the interesting part. Godell is the arbitrator. Brady's team did a great job saying they wanted Godell to testify, which would have made him ineligible to judge due to a conflict of interest.

For him to dismiss his request to testify, it keeps him in the drivers seat and keeps the heat where it belongs, on the pats and brady. Also with him serving, he will probably uphold the ruling of 4 games. I personally think they should force Brady to apologize, but since Bellycheat never officially apologized for Spygate, I'm not holding my breath...

The scheme is to get this thrown into a neutral arbitrator who hopefully has less league ties so they can misdirection them out of the real issues at hand... if they can bamboozle a judge into thinking of this case in criminal law terms, then downplay the deflation evidence, or even better play precedence cases while downplaying that there hasn't been players from a team caught multiple times trying to cheat while pushing the fines and warnings other teams and players have gotten for first time offenses they may weasel out of this.

Anyone form the league has records of the previous warnings, plus spygate and all the boundary pushing they have done elsewhere and are treating it as a continuation of an issue, not a stand alone problem.

There you go using facts again...the shame of it all. My favorite aspect of the deflation was the natural causes thing and if so did the footballs have too pee or was there some other reason for them being in the bathroom?

You should kindly remind him of one Julian Edelman who was arrested and charged with sexual assault at a Halloween party. People forget this because, being a Patriot, he wasn't suspended a single play.
 
Peter King has an interview with an angry and defiant Kraft in today's MMQB. More or less Kraft says "No smoking gun, Tommy would never lie, no comment on all the circumstantial evidence."

Florio has been pretty open minded to both sides.

He has been one of the leading proponents that doesn't attack the science of the report but the very odd (and wide variation) the two different gauges measure the balls and the fact the Colts balls were "rushed" at the end of halftime and only ended up measuring 4.

I've said from the very beginning of this whole situation, the science in this case is very, very wishy-washy. There just isn't enough data of any sort to definitively say "This is scientifically true or this is not scientifically true". That's why I've been pro-Patriot when it comes to the science argument.

That said, I am completely ANTI-Patriot on this issue when it comes to the text message trail of evidence that certainly implies that some sort of shenanigans with the ball were discussed, planned and executed by the ball boys to make Tom Brady happy and Tom Brady seems to know (and he doesn't have to know everything to be guilty) enough to "payoff" the guys when the ball was a bit soft.

And the testimony of McNally in the bathroom (when he says he used a urinal when no urinal exists) is also damning.

The science isn't good evidence. Never has been.

The interviews, the text messages, the video tape of McNally going to the bathroom, the fact the balls "disappeared" early.... that is what makes me thing the Patriots are guilty.

Sounds like Rog and Kraft are going to be doing some behind closed doors deals this week with their punishments. I fully expect Rog to cave. He won't wipe everything out but I expect Brady to get no more than 2 games and the Cheatriots to get their number 1 pick back.
 
Ginger will cave and the Pats will be given a high compensatory pick in the next draft.
