He would have to be top 10 in history with the players on the opposite side of him… Was the Steelers biggest offseason fail besides not canning not so magic Mike.He is here.
I'd be very surprised. This team can't play defense against elite QBs.It also wouldn't surprise me to win them all. You never know with this team. We live and die by the turnover and that will kill when we turn it over ourselves.
Caning him might a bit over the top if not downright problematic, Canning on the other hand.......He would have to be top 10 in history with the players on the opposite side of him… Was the Steelers biggest offseason fail besides not canning not so magic Mike.
Did you see that 8 yard catch he had late in the game? I don't understand why we're the only people talking about it.He is here.
Oops. We will go with whichever you prefer.Caning him might a bit over the top if not downright problematic, Canning on the other hand.......
I am to the point it is 90% coaching and only 10% on the players on both sides of the ball. The only position we are truly lacking talent is WR2. We have some depth but no one to truly stand up. The talent is good enough to win any game. The scheme can lose any game if the talent doesn't overcome it.I'd be very surprised. This team can't play defense against elite QBs.
They had the TEs to attack their LBer weakness. Nobody absolutely nobody can convince me with what patterns I have seen for a decade that it doesn’t start and stop with middling Mike.I am to the point it is 90% coaching and only 10% on the players on both sides of the ball. I agree we have enough talent to win games and probably win a playoff game this season. The problem is this team has proven time and again they cannot compete against elite QBs. I fully expect Allen, Goff, and Lamar to shred this defense and our conservative approach on offense won't be enough to keep up.I am to the point it is 90% coaching and only 10% on the players on both sides of the ball. I am starting to agree. As I said earlier, on an early INT he overreacts the last 5 years or so and turtles. I think he overcompensates for perceived bad QB play to the point he wills it into existence. They had the TEs to attack their LBer weakness. Schemes aren’t aggressive enough and even worse they are void of being adjustment capable.
Goff scares me more. The other two while they are absolutely capable of shredding us are also capable as shown by Allen recently of giving away the game. WE can beat them both. I am not saying WE WILL but our defense is capable of winning on splash. I don't think our coordinator is competent enough to win consistently enough with just good play calling to shut someone down totally. WE are feast or famine particularly when the offense also ***** itself.I agree we have enough talent to win games and probably win a playoff game this season. No good coached team is shocked by either side of the ball approach. We can see talent and passion shine from the players but that only gets you so far. You need the X and O schematics and proficient scheme on both sides.I am starting to agree. As I said earlier, on an early INT he overreacts the last 5 years or so and turtles. How the hell you gonna tell me its over the top when I know for a fact (AND YOU DO TOO) he meant it as a sleight... its a stain upon society in of itself that you have to have DEI hires but the misperception that surrounds DEI often is that 1) most if not all DEI hires had no business being hired and are not qualified 2) that it benefits people of color more then any other demographic...which is why when the Steelers lose i often see him and that idiot hood wearing bigot Kentucky Steeler making that same comment over and overBurgh didn’t say anything classless. Your post is way over the top.
I think Tomlin is more of problem offensively than Smith. He has shown some capability. He has to be left to run it on his own. Otherwise, we would never know. He isn't a top 5 coordinator, but he isn't as bad as some recently. No good coached team is shocked by either side of the ball approach. We simply don’t have it. It is like a ticking time bomb out there soon or a later it will destroy any hopes and dreams of every fan.
And for the love of got damn it man stop picking up OCs fired by teams unless one of them is known to be really proficient in one side of the ball.
Irony is the OC was knocked for his deficiencies on offense and the DC on D.
Not a good pair when your coach has deficiencies too. It is like all three are collecting jars of flies. You know no pattern of flight in the process of eventually dropping dead.
I am not in his head I have no idea how he meant anything. How do you know ? are you telepathically gifted? What am I thinking right now?How to hell you gonna tell me its over the top when I know for a fact he meant it as a sleight... its a stain upon society in of itself that you have to have DEI hires but the misperception often is that people 1) most if not all DEI hires had no business being hired and are not qualified 2) that it benefits people of color more then any other demographic
Both can be no further from the truth
1) white women overwhelmingly benefit fron DEI more then other demographic when in fact people of color have actually benefitted very little. This is exemplified just by looking at the NFL alone and recognizing the fact that if you say the Rooney Rule is a DEI program then very little has changed in the way of minority head coaching hires (from 2-8) or positions of upper management since 2004.
2) the qualifications dont lessen as a DEI hire. This might be the case if it was Affirmative Action. It is not as a DEI hire.
I agree...so why does he have to bring up DEI everything hes unhappy with the Steelers performance?? Thats how I know. Him and that hood wearing bigot Kentucky Steeler.I am not in his head I have no idea how he meant anything. How do you know ? are you telepathically gifted? What am I thinking right now?
I am here to talk football not talk about skin pigmentation. My beliefs is we all come from one entity and our pigmentation is just different shades of the same being.
That is fair and I somewhat agree. I do see him as I said before doing a little bit too much on the player rotation front, Smith. Definitely agree with Mike being the bigger issue limiting outcome.I think Tomlin is more of problem offensively than Smith. He has shown some capability. He has to be left to run it on his own. Otherwise, we would never know. He isn't a top 5 coordinator, but he isn't as bad as some recently.
That worked for Todd Haley. The perception was that he was a Dan Rooney hire and Shades was told to leave him TF alone.I think Tomlin is more of problem offensively than Smith. Ben was also younger and at his prime obstinacy and talent overall. That worked for Todd Haley. The perception was that he was a Dan Rooney hire and Shades was told to leave him TF alone.
As a result the offensive stats were better under him that any of Shades' other OC's, just for some reason the future HOF quarterback didn't like him.
Only QB to throw 7 TD's in two consecutive games and Haley was the OC.Ben was also younger and at his prime obstinacy and talent overall.
