Week 12 Steelers at Bears Game-day thread.

If they don't leave our RT uncovered it could have been a different game. If our DBs didn't drop multiple ints it might have been a different game. If we ever threw consistently across the middle of the field it might have been a different game. If our D didn't give the opponent free 1st downs at the end of the 2nd quarter before half it might have been a different game. So I agree. If he hits just one of them. It could have been a different game.

Exactly.

And if grandpa had **** he'd be grandma.

He would have to be top 10 in history with the players on the opposite side of him… Was the Steelers biggest offseason fail besides not canning not so magic Mike.
I often think of how excited we all were when they first made the trade. All of us imagining DK and Pickens terrorizing secondaries, only to have the life sucked out when they traded Pickens away. We had a better WR room last year and we saw how that turned out. DK is a downgrade from Pickens in all aspects...

for how much a people person Mike is he can’t seem to handle strong personalities. Would have liked for them to mold Pickens into better behavior but they failed.

All he had to do was get him the ball 6-8 times per game. He already has a career high in receptions in Dallas.

I can't for the life of me figure out what he does that gets people to sing his praises the way they do. He might be a great guy, but...

I would love to hear what he says when he sees the game film, with 2 DL getting pushed into the EZ for an easy score...there is no way to execute that any better and get any different results. Just blows my mind that we continue to trot that out and wonder why we can't stop the run

The fan base is dwindling in his support.

I am seeing it as an all time low.
I will make a distinction, as long as he is our coach I will support and cheer for him. That doesn't mean I don't see his flaws. I still would rather see him win it all than get fired. I won't be heartbroken if he retires or is retired. I would be unhappy to see him actually fired. I don't want it to go that way.

I just see so much bad football. They arent getting better, . Im tired . I see dumb stuff happen like not covering the tackle. Stupidity or coaching. ?

I see dumb stuff like 2 Dlinemen on the 2 yard line or whatever it was. I see talent that can do the job.

But i see a defensive scheme thats retarded. I see conservative offensive play calling, that looks like they dont practice.

Question is why do they keep drafting players like this? The red flags were there pre-draft. Or have they officially moved on from this type of high risk high reward type of player?

I agree...so why does he have to bring up DEI everything hes unhappy with the Steelers performance?? Thats how I know. Him and that hood wearing bigot Kentucky Steeler.
I think Tomlin was hired "at least" partly because of the Rooney Rule. Which is basically DEI hire at this point. Doesn't make me a racist though. And doesn't make the Tomlin hire wrong. At some point though you have to move on from a HC. We are well past that time with Tomlin. A few extensions ago. With each extension it proves it even more.

I wish there was more diversity in the HC ranks. Plenty of talent out there to tap into regardless of race though. In the end just pick the best guy...or gal.

How the hell you gonna tell me its over the top when I know for a fact (AND YOU DO TOO) he meant it as a sleight... its a stain upon society in of itself that you have to have DEI hires but the misperception that surrounds DEI often is that 1) most if not all DEI hires had no business being hired and are not qualified 2) that it benefits people of color more then any other demographic...which is why when the Steelers lose i often see him and that idiot hood wearing bigot Kentucky Steeler making that same comment over and over

the truth regarding DEI is this
1) white women overwhelmingly benefit fron DEI more then other demographic when in fact people of color have actually benefitted very little. This is exemplified just by looking at the NFL alone and recognizing the fact that if you say the Rooney Rule is a DEI program then very little has changed in the way of minority head coaching hires (from 2 to 5 currently) or positions of upper management since 2004.

2) the qualifications dont lessen as a DEI hire. This might be the case if it was Affirmative Action. It is not as a DEI hire.
You're not wrong.

I am not in his head I have no idea how he meant anything. How do you know ? are you telepathically gifted? What am I thinking right now?

😀

I am here to talk football not talk about skin pigmentation. My beliefs is we all come from one entity and our pigmentation is just different shades of the same being.
But you know he's right...

Thank you. Most of you are very supportive on the touchy topic and have reached to me to understand my views (at times).

I said it last season, 'Coach Tomlin has a 2 year shelf life left'...

@NoKap#7 , bruh, you're good with me. And there are some great brothers here and there are some bad ones too, but every family has that. Just know that you're going to see/ hear all the negativity after a losing game - heck, sometimes it happens after a win.

And this is at EVERYONE - we're Steeler fans first and foremost. Football talk is football talk. Politics lives on the other side. Do note that some statements can be perceived differently because we all come from different backgrounds, cultures and, for some, countries.

It's Monday. The game is over. Sulk in your feelings until lunch time. Then put on your big boy pants and look toward next week.

Now, say it with me, "I don't have to be an ******* today".

See? I feel better already!!!

As long as Mike is the HC they really should not draft these types.

It would seem that he doesn't make them work real hard or hold anyone accountable.
