This article aside, if Tomlin is responsible for retaining and it goes the way most of us believe, Tomlin should be fired. It was the most critical decision of the offseason. If its wrong, someone's head should roll.
And that’s why there is a pending Tomlin extension so the fans won’t get in the “fire Tomlin” uproar when Canada opens up another can of suck

our full route tree looks like hot routes only, short field crap over and over. If there were at least slants it would be more palatable

Yeah I think there should be transparency about the decision but obviously there will not be. To me if I'm a 16 year head coach and the OC is foisted on me by the owner that's a problem but then again I'm sure Tomlin appreciates the cover Canada will provide.

Built in excuse, I’ve never seen a coach more adaptive to that “excuse” syndrome.

AGREE but it seems more like “College offense” in a PROFESSIONAL atmosphere !!!

Those that think keeping O’Canada so as not to hinder Kenny Pickett’s Developement are ****-ing nuts. Keeping O’Canada is a guarantee of hindering Kenny’s Developement.

Im just not convinced that the issues are Canada based… i think Tomlin was a Shottenheimer type super conservative offense and Canada obliges… ever since 08 people called for Ben to run more no huddle and call his own plays and the one consistent guy in charge that wouldn’t let him was Tomlin, regardless of coordinator…

I feel like if Tomlin wanted the offense to be better but more risky, he would make it like that…
He just doesn’t want to risk turnovers on miscommunications…

Fully agree, but the current "scapegoat" is Matt O'Canada. Until an OC stands up to Mighty Mike, they will continue to be the scapegoat.

Coach Tomlin is here till he decides to quit, that isn't happening soon. If this perceived extension happens that means 4 more seasons. How far down the tube will we be then?

Could Coach Tomlin turn things around, HELL yes, but at what pace? Currently I see us moving at a snail's pace and some pretty obvious moves not being made.

Depends upon if Coolie is in it or not.............

Ironically, the LUXURY S10 likes Coolie and seems to work a lot harder for him when present.

Don't worry Tomlin will coach it up on the sideline next season. Kenny F'n Pickett....maybe we can run a hot route. And then they will mash it up with him completing a slant.....from three games earlier.

now people are calling Tomlin Conservative. probs the same people who blew him up for letting Ben be a gunslinger. I agree it is probs time he rode off into the Sunset, but man he is not the worst coach in the league. everything he does is not wrong. he makes good decisions more than bad.

Bro thanks Bro. It is really a combination of things. you guys post on here the 1000 reasons Tomlin sucks. Today it is hot routes. Tomorrow it might be head size.
All Tomlin does is keep winning. Now he has a young franchise QB 3 picks in the top 50. a good to great defense. should be an exciting offseason full of optimism.
But come on here and we suck. Tomlin sucks the future sucks.
We don't know yet that we have a franchise QB. We have a guy who made a couple of throws and suddenly all the talking heads were crowning Pickett so that they could then praise Tomlin for bringing in Pickett....LOL...."P.C. ex jocks gone wild" on ESPN and NFL Network.

Everybody then repeats that mantra like the " No losing seasons" mantra. What exactly have we won with Tomlin in the last 12 years that matters?

We went 25 years without winning a Super Bowl with 2 hall of fame coaches at the wheel. I dont care about winning seasons vs seeing the team get better throughout the year. which they did.

and I know the next one everyone is going to say is the level of competition went down But unless they started playing college or high school teams they still finished the season 7-2 against NFL teams.

And only the worst teams in the league have went longer without a playoff win. If he coaches to 2026 under a new contract it will be almost 20 years since the last SB.

The most sad thing about that is to date, we have had some VERY good talented teams in that span. Definitely SB talented type teams.

Well one won 4 SBs and is top three all time. The other put a true contender together every three or four years he coached on a showstring and set the table for the only real success Tomlin has enjoyed.

There been to one conference championship in the last 12 years and got worn out in it. Is that satisfactory to you? They haven't won a playoff game since that conference championship. Since 2010 they have won exactly three playoff games. Again acceptable?
