I never quite understood the hate for him. He had some decent pass rush moves and would get penetration. Consistency against the run was not great but Cam is much worse. I guess it was a matter of high expectations based on his draft position.

IMO his abilities and style were not a good fit for DLB's defense. Despite being obviously above the line in terms of measurables and pedigree if you will, his game day in-helmet physicality was popcorn.

I am thinking with the scheme change they think he would be a good backup fit.

Not that anyone wants him for a starter.

Lol no thanks. Apparently Ratliff had to be escorted off the Bears premises after 2 heated exchanges with their GM, Ryan Pace. Dude's used up, has a bad temper, I'd rather they not bother with trying to fit a guy like that into our locker room, at least at this deep into this season.
