Steelers select Tj Hockenson. With both inside backers gone hockenson who I think is the next Travis Kelce would be perfect fit. Then draft defense the rest of draft.

Hockenson will have already been drafted WELL before #20.
We will need to move up to get him.
But I sincerely hope you're right and we draft him.
 
I like him but we need an ILB. If he's there in Rd. 2, I'd be all for it.
 
It is pretty much down to ILB or TE. Out of Bush, White, Hockenson, Fant, one of them will be there.
I was a Heath Miller fan for Rd 1 pick, I predicted we would win 3 Super Bowls if we drafted him. Ended
up only being 2.
 
Most mock drafts have Bush still there at 20. But Ravens pick at 22 and might want him. We might have to move up to block the Ravens.
But if Steelers don't care if it's TE or ILB in Rd1, they will wait at 20.

Seen too many times someone jump right ahead of the Steelers knowing their need a ILBer. Ravens is a damn good example with their ILBer flying the coup.

this is the draft we need to be trading up.
 
I think they must go defense. Hope Ben can squeeze enough out this year. Let's face it. It's a rebuild. Build defensive pieces and hope Tomlin gets canned. Best hope moving forward.
 
The latest mock that was posted 3 hours ago, had White going at #10 to Denver. Bush was still available at 20 when we picked, but I think we need to jump in front of Cleveland.
 
If we use the two picks we received from the Raiders, we should be able to move up at least a few spots and should be able to secure getting Bush. With ILB being such a HUGE need, I don't think they can sit and wait to pick at 20.

Balt are not trading up unless they get some serious capital. They have no 2nd round pick and 2 low 3rds. Now if the new GM wants to start using future picks...let them eat cake.
 
Cleveland no longer has a first round pick, the Giants own it now. I don't believe the Ravens can use their 3rd round comp pick in a trade.
 
There are good TE's that will be available in the 3rd. Most considered upgrade from James.

you are correct, the mock i was referring to was pre OBJ trade.

cbssportsline has White going at #8 to Detroit, and us taking Bush.
 
The Steelers will trade pick 20 and pick 83, which according to the trade value chart, would get them to pick 15 or 16. Carolina has pick 16 and is owned by Pittsburgher and ex-Steeler minority owner David Tepper, who will trade the pick to the Steelers.

With the 16th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers Select: Devin Bush. Linebacker. Michigan.
